But I do fear for Ukraine (well, not really). Russia will take all land east of the Dniepr plus Odesa. And then Hungary, Poland and Romania will assert their historical claims to parts of what's left. By the end of the year Ukraine should cease to exist. But then it was always an artificial post-WW2 construct within the USSR.

Actually its a relief that he didnt sign away Ukraines resources for the next 100 years. It would be great if he can broker a deal with Europes help and leave the US out of it. Som nom na.

I completely agree with you and I think it's just further evidence that Trump is making America less relevant by the day. Just give it a couple of years. America's standing will diminish dramatically throughout the world. Just the price you pay when you get a circus huckster to run the country, instead of someone with leadership ability, and the ability to practice the art of the diplomacy.
