A 16-year-old boy was killed when his tractor overturned and crushed him after he swerved to avoid a sugarcane truck in Pak Thong Chai district, Nakhon Ratchasima.

Emergency responders from Hook 31 Rescue Unit in Udomsap rushed to the accident scene on the Por Daeng-Khru Buri road, near Ban Khok Phai Kaew, Village 13, Sakaerat subdistrict. Upon arrival, they found a large crowd gathered around an overturned blue agricultural tractor, which had flipped onto its roof at the roadside. Beneath the wreckage lay the lifeless body of a young man, later identified as “Num Noi” , aged 16, from Village 9, Khru Buri subdistrict, Nakhon Ratchasima.

Eyewitnesses reported that the victim had been driving at speed when he attempted to swerve away from an oncoming sugarcane truck. The sudden manoeuvre caused him to lose control, sending the tractor off the road, where it overturned and fatally crushed him.

Police from Pak Thong Chai station have transported the body to Pak Thong Chai Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Investigators are currently gathering witness statements and evidence to determine the precise cause of the crash.
