Taking girlfriend's Thai kids to Australia

Featured Replies

Hi, has anyone taken their Thai girlfriend's kids to Australia? She has a 3 year visitor visa and isn't married to the father but the kids generally stay with him by mutual agreement. The kids don't have passports yet either. Anyone know where to start the process? And I won't use an agent when I can do it myself. First hand experience would be great.

Thanks

First thing is first, you'll have to get the children passports.  That requires approval of both parents along with required signed forms and other things.  Your girlfriend should be able to find the information about that in Thai language fairly easily.

Do you mean for a holiday or to live?

How old are the kids?

Sorry should have said that. Just a short holiday, maybe 2 or 3 weeks. They're 12 and 9.
