Such nonsense, the US is Canada's largest trading partner, can you imagine the US having to pay 25% tariffs on every good imported from Canada?

 

Without Canada, Mexico and China the US would cease to exist as a nation, it would not survive. 

 

Trump is overreaching to a huge degree with his tariffs and his threats, and this simpleton is hellbent on destroying the US economy and perhaps taking the world down with him.

I really do find quite fascinating how offended Trump supporters get when you criticize him. Objectively speaking the man is likely the most offensive, most ignorant, and most ill informed politician of my lifetime. Nonsense rather is to suggest the US economy would "cease to exist" without Canada, Mexico and China. This shows a fundamental lack of understanding of the depth and strength of the US economy.

 

You also appear to not understand what tarriffs do. Tarriffs make OTHER products more expensive, not US made products, meaning that rather than buy foreign products people will buy US made products because they are cheaper. Therefore tariffs protect US jobs, incrrease US jobs and of course they also raise tax revenue for the US.

Broke an 80+ year streak by being the first POTUS since Hoover to leave office with fewer Americans employed than when he entered. To create that degree of carnage is a gift.

 

He can do it again, too, albeit much worse, as he has no guardrails in this second iteration.

 

He will tank the equity market, obliterate the US economy, make the UE rate soar, alienate foreign buyers of US debt instruments (foreigners currently fund 30% of the US budget deficit) so that rates rise despite any Fed action, and reintroduce Americans to two terms:

 

Stagflation

 

Depression.

I was watching a show today where the guest said that the US is busy repatriating all their gold from around the world. Currently over 8,500 tons So much so that it is creating shortages which is driving the price up..

 

He also said that US gold is for some reason only valued around $42/oz, and that he reckons Trump's plan is not only to have it revalued at today's market price which almost at $3000/oz, but to use it to create a partially gold backed Dollar to pre-empt the BRICS plan to do the same with their currencies.

 

He stated that if true, Trump would be able to pay off the US national debt. So there still might be some method to DT's madness.
