I think you should re-read it....it is implicit in what he is saying that his dad has to take out private medical insurance since he cannot access free Thai health care.

..and based on that...he thought her mum was needing private care as far as I read it...he was equating private care being the norm based on his dad...anyway, it's just a new guy in Thailand getting that familiar squeeze and he has had his advice to block her as its the usual B/S routine of guys with soft hearts getting worked by hookerz.

The above said, I have seen a lot of Thai women here, ending up with poor a$$ blokes here depending on their government handouts on a monthly basis to be left with nothing when he departs, suffice to say, I too consider myself an odd diamond too and of course, one has to set traps along to way to be sure to be sure as Paddy would say, and if the rat takes the cheese, then you know what you have on your hands.

 

The fact that she spend a decade with me overseas, supporting me as a stay at home wife with me working long hours from home and me being a single dad on a shared care basis, was a HUGE help, that said, she put a lot of trust in me to deliver on what I promised, i.e. to retire to Thailand in a decade and to build us a nice house, in the end it all worked out, and as you say, character has a heck of a lot to do with relationships.

Please read the post correctly.Medical treatment is free for THAIS’ , not foreigners. I don’t know if you’re real or not, but a girl working the bars are prostitutes .
