According to Leavitt, the Secretary of State can take action against individuals deemed "adversarial to the foreign policy and national security interests" of the United States. She further accused Khalil of distributing "pro-Hamas propaganda" on campus, making it clear that the administration would not allow foreign students to promote ideologies linked to terrorist organizations responsible for American deaths.

She’s referring here to immigration law that’s been linked to in this topic already. The lefties bury their heads in the sand and still claim it’s a free speech issue. His trial is not about free speech.

Separately, a Columbia student from India who had her student visa revoked after failing to disclose information on her arrest  in connection with anti-Israel protests when applying for a visa extension  has "self-deported" to Canada, the Department of Homeland Security said in a press release.

A Palestinian student from the West Bank was arrested because of a visa overstay since 2022, the release added.

Not charged as of yet; however, Mahmoud Khalil is a pro-Hamas activist, and as such, is a serious threat to the national security of the US; if you don’t think that is a good enough reason for him to be deported, then you are part of the problem.

Supporting and enabling terrorist sympathisers and antisemites is the reason that the Democrats were flushed down the gurgler at the recent election, something it seems you have failed to grasp.

You are conflating support for Palestinians with support for Hamas, as is Rubio et al. Khalil and the protesters are victims of this strategy.

Also, mixing up antisemitism with anti-Zionism has been a strategy for around 10 years as a means of suppressing free speech of people who support self-determination for the Palestinians, but since October 2023 the campaign against free speech has been abetted by laws equating the two through the adoption of the IHRA definition of antisemitism.

Really ? remind me please of the nationality of every single member of the terrorist organisation Hamas; and remind me of the nationality of every resident in Gaza that voted for Hamas to be their recognised government in 2007, and have supported them ever since.

And when you’ve done that, please remind me of the nationality of every person, both Hamas and civilian, that took part in the most barbaric atrocity in modern history on 7th October 2023; and then remind me of the nationality of every civilian that lined the streets of Gaza, jeering, hitting and spitting on the wounded and dead bodies of innocent Israeli citizens that were paraded through Gaza on 7th Oct 23.

And finally, please remind me of the nationality of the members of the UN relief agency UNRWA, that have been hiding hostages in their facilities in Gaza, and some of who’s members took part in 7th Oct massacres.

Take your time, I know these will be difficult questions for you.

The USA is campling down on foreign  violent law breaking activists who cause fear and destruction and disruption .

Some people who agree with those actions of the activists  are trying to stop the clamp down by claiming its a violation of "free speech"
