In Pattaya, a viral video has sparked widespread outrage as it captures a brutal altercation between a foreigner and a Thai man following a hit-and-run incident. Shared online by a Thai witness on March 16, the footage has ignited debate over tourist behaviour in Thailand.

The incident began after an alleged collision between the foreigner's motorcycle and the Thai man's vehicle. The video, now widely circulated on social media, shows the foreigner physically attacking the Thai man, who attempts to defend himself amidst the chaos. Despite the intervention of a bystander, the situation escalated until a local motorcycle taxi rider stepped in, successfully pulling the aggressor away.

As onlookers gathered, the victim claimed the foreign motorcyclist had fled after causing the crash. Witnesses expressed concern about confronting the foreigner due to his size and aggression, highlighting tensions over the perception of foreign tourists.

Police were summoned after the incident and conducted questioning at the station. Though the foreign motorcyclist was fined, the exact amount remains undisclosed. The Thai man chose not to press charges further. The altercation underscores the ongoing challenges of managing tourist behaviour and ensuring justice, sparking conversations about safety and accountability in popular tourist destinations like Pattaya, reported The Thaiger.

It is only a part of the whole story... a video made by a Thai but what really happened, and why did the Thai man not made charges. If he was right he would have done it.. Doesn't mean that I approve the behavior of the man, but there is always more in this story. Thai news only tell things in parts and not the reality mostly.. So What happened before on the road..They write that that motorcyclist ran away after the accident, but that doesn't fit with the video

 Agreed...

More to the story here...    I hear the foreign man shouting "this is not ok what he do"...

... The Thai guy claimed the foreigner caused an accident then attempted to flee...

So it appears the Thai chased down the foreigner and stopped him, then the foreigner fought back ?

Not condoning the foreigners actions at all - but why is only one side of the story ever reported ?

The Thai man obviously isn't a local as the cavalry would've arrived. Would there be any video evidence if the tourist had've got bash senseless?

They will jump on someone who cannot defend himself,

That is what the farang did to the Thai. Jumped on him when he was on the ground recovering from the accident. With his boyfriend who was also twice the size of the thai man standing over him.

tattooed heroes, possibly road ragers which is common in Pattaya.

This will bring out the Farang apologists.

Edit

I see it already has.

Plenty of Thais there, luckily for Enzo and Mario the sensible Thais stayed calm and didn’t pull out the knives.

The video perfectly illustrates what pussies thais are. They will jump on someone who cannot defend himself, when it’s someone who could <deleted> them up (like in this video) they are scared <deleted>less and do nothing.

So, here it was time to say something bad about Thai people. Do you have no shame in your body! Did you by any chance see what the foreigner was up to and doing. By all means, do not comment on that. Sometimes I wonder how stupid people can be online.

Yes.
Never seen any videos of farangs starting trouble and Thais finishing it?
There are plenty available.

So you can make up the other side?

Foreigners in the wrong, caused the accident and then got violent.

But thanks for apologizing. You are consistent.

Oh... you're back... I figured you'd been on another Ban for your inane incessant trolling...

Anyway - I'm not interested in getting dragged down the level of a cockroach so you'll have to try and trigger argument with someone else.

Thai man probably deserved it.

These incidents always bring out the farang apologists despite witnesses, a video and a victim interview.
Farangs can do no wrong and it is always the Thai man’s fault.
These types show a lot more leeway for Thai girls though.

most of the men are cocky as hell and are in need of a good old slap about the chops.

And he might not have....       some foreigners are absolute complete total cockroaches....   and some Thai men are the same...

...   There's nearly always more to the story and we clearly only have one side here... but its possible the report is exactly as happened...

Mixed....

Some do an excellent and professional job, maintain their cool and de-escalate situations caused by drunk idiots

And then there are others who use their positions to act out their thuggery against drunk idiots...

And... depending on location the drunk idiots can be either Thai or foreign - it just depends where the club is.

In this case (as the video shows) - I think the Thai's in the area did a good job of deescalation...

(though none were security).

Its reported the foreigner caused and accident and fled - so how did they end up in the same spot ?

Gee you are dim.

The Swiss thug did a runner after causing the accident and then kicking the smaller Thai man while he was on the ground.

Then the police arrested the Swiss thug, Stefan,at his residence in Pratumnak because they had his license plate.

But if you want to make up your own imagined version of events and post them here, well go ahead.

Go back home to Oz Malky, you're embarrassing yourself.

I am not scared.

Then we’re ten Thais around these two Swiss punks, if the reality is what you imagine then they would have ganged up.
But they didn’t.

it is an urban myth.
often repeated by those who don’t get out much.
