Zelensky Expresses Optimism for Peace Following 'Positive' Conversation with Trump
Diplomatic relations can shift dramatically in just a few weeks, and today demonstrated how quickly the tone between world leaders can change. Presidents Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump struck a notably positive note following their recent hour-long phone call, a stark contrast to the heated exchanges seen in the Oval Office last month. Although no media was present during the discussion, the official statements from both leaders indicated a more constructive dialogue. Zelensky described the conversation as "positive, very substantive and frank," and expressed admiration for Trump’s "concept of peace through strength." Statements from Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz reinforced this sentiment, with spokesperson Leavitt stating that the conversation was "fantastic." Zelensky expressed gratitude for U.S. support, particularly regarding the provision of Javelin missiles, and emphasized that "lasting peace under President Trump's leadership can be achieved." The two leaders also addressed the ongoing conflict in Kursk, with Zelensky requesting additional air defense resources. A technical meeting is expected soon, aiming to progress toward a broader ceasefire in the Black Sea region. Trump reportedly suggested that "American ownership" of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure could be beneficial for the country. Meanwhile, much of the briefing from the White House focused on U.S. immigration policies and domestic concerns, including legal disputes surrounding deportation flights. Providing further details on the call, Zelensky underscored his belief that "lasting peace can be achieved this year together with America, with President Trump, and under American leadership." He highlighted that an end to strikes on civilian and energy infrastructure was "one of the first steps toward fully ending the war," reaffirming Ukraine’s readiness to implement such measures. Additionally, Trump shared insights from his recent conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, while Zelensky updated him on battlefield developments and the impact of Russian attacks. The two presidents agreed to maintain communication at the highest level, ensuring that their teams collaborate on "all necessary aspects of advancing toward lasting peace and security guarantees." Leavitt reiterated that Zelensky had thanked the U.S. for its continued support, particularly in military assistance, and emphasized that the focus had shifted from previous discussions, such as the minerals deal, to broader peace negotiations. With both leaders portraying the conversation in a positive light, the diplomatic landscape appears to be moving toward renewed efforts for stability. As discussions continue, the possibility of achieving lasting peace remains on the horizon, with Ukraine and the United States pledging to work closely together in pursuit of that goal. Husband Crashes Pickup While Delivering Vegetables, Wife Killed
Picture from responders. A couple transporting vegetables to the Si Mum Mueang Market in Ratchaburi was involved in a collision, when the husband, struggling with fatigue, lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a roadside tree. The crash resulted in the death of his 60-year-old wife, leaving him devastated at the scene. The accident occurred at approximately 05:30 on 19 March, on Highway 323 in Ban Chandae, Moo 3, Tha Khanun subdistrict, Thong Pha Phum district. Upon receiving the report, officers from Thong Pha Phum Police Station, along with medical personnel from Thong Pha Phum Hospital and Kanchanaburi rescue teams, rushed to the scene. A white Toyota pickup truck, fully loaded with cabbages, was found severely damaged after colliding with a tree and a roadside sign. The front left section, including the engine compartment and passenger cabin, were crushed, with vegetables scattered across the scene. The woman in the front passenger seat was pronounced dead at the scene. She was identified as a resident of Tha Sa-at subdistrict, Seka district, Bueng Kan province. The driver, 55-year-old Mr Ravi, from Chalae subdistrict, Thong Pha Phum, and the husband of the deceased, was found in shock and inconsolable. Rescue workers had to use hydraulic cutting equipment to extract his wife’s body from the wreckage. A friend of Mr Ravi, who also works in vegetable transportation, revealed that the couple had already completed one delivery to Si Mum Mueang Market earlier that day and was making a second trip when the crash occurred. Police investigations indicate that Mr Ravi, feeling drowsy, had informed his wife that he intended to find a place to stop and rest. However, before he could do so, he briefly fell asleep while navigating a curve, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and crash. Authorities will proceed with further investigations and legal procedures regarding the incident. -- 2025-03-20 -

Solar - 8kW Hybrid Inverter w/10kWh (upgraded to 20kWh in Sept. 2022) ESS/battery (not DIY)
It is all starting to make sense now, thanks. If I understand correctly, the load was on the wrong output in the solar sparky's sketch. It should look like this with "zero export to grid" activated in the inverter settings, right? -
