GOP Targets Federal Judges for Impeachment Over Rulings Against Trump

Federal District judges are tasked with interpreting the law as it applies to the particular case they're hearing.  If the losing party doesn't agree with the ruling then they can appeal to  the appropriate appellate court to review the ruling.  The appellate court may overturn the district court or send it back down to the district court for further review. That's the way the US judicial system works and it's been doing so successfully for a couple of centuries.  Chief Justice Roberts was absolutely correct in rebuking Trump in explaining just how the US justice system functions.

There is no place in the judiciary for politically biased rulings by politically biased judges.

They need to be held accountable. This cannot be allowed to continue.

The irony of what you say is lost on you. The GOP targeting judges for impeachment over rulings they dislike—like blocking Trump’s deportation or spending plans—stinks to high heaven of political bias itself. They’re not alleging corruption or illegal acts, just outcomes that thwart their agenda. That’s a tough sell as “holding judges accountable” when the Constitution sets a high bar for impeachment (“high crimes and misdemeanors”), not just disagreement over legal interpretation.

An impeachment of a judge required 2/3 votes in the Senate

Not likely to happen.

I think Americans wake up and realize what kind of incapable president they elected.

He's not a danger for America but the whole world

😱

Assume all that's true.  What's the remedy? What's the remedy that will actually work?

Why assume that it is all true?

Why not, if it makes him happy.  Assume arguendo, or for the purpose of discussion.

A court order is just a piece of paper.  In and of itself, it doesn't provide a remedy.  Someone needs to enforce it.  And in the judicial system, that means you have to first file an appeal.  That's your remedy.

Sometimes, a higher court will issue an injunction, but that's a powerful tool requiring a strong showing of impending harm and so on.  Usually, the request is denied and the case moves forward in the usual fashion.  If the case makes it to the Supreme Court. the court will grant certioari, meaning it will take up the case for further review, or they will deny certiorari, meaning they don't want to waste their time with it.  Whatever court issues the final ruling on the merits of the case, whether it's the Supreme Court  after further review or the lower court that issued the previous order, that's the end of it.  That's the order that can supposedly be enforced.

They thought being able to refer to Trump as a convicted felon would win them the election. All the lefties on here had the phrase as a keyboard shortcut.

It failed. Simple as that.

it was highly amusing.

It’s working out marvelously for the millions of working Americans who voted for him.

Except it’s not, and it’s getting worse by the day.

You were one of the ones with "convicted felon" in every post.

You thought it would work.

Another failure.😀
