Use the cage, always have 3 set,  you hear when you get one, if it is not one then easy to let out.  Drop in a bucket of water quick death.

But walk away and don't watch, or the sight of it struggling to get out may horrify you for years to come.

A friend told me.....

Here's the last one I treated to some water-boarding.

I didn't stay around to watch it pass peacefully...

I dunno.

Having your feet stuck in concrete and then slowly dying of thirst doesn't sound like a quick and painless death.  Unless you chew your feet off to escape, and then die of blood loss.

But that's just me.

Not only that, they mostly get one foot stuck and then thrash around

only if  you are willing to risk killing the neighbor's pets and playing find the smell after it crawls into some small space to die

But drowning can be quite painful. According to Medical Daily, when we're struggling in water, we tend to hyperventilate. This usually leads to breathing in water, which causes a laryngospasm or vocal cord spasm. According to Healthline, breathing in water can be very painful, and if you get water into your lungs the sensation is a searing pain that often lasts long after you're out of the water.

According to an article in The Medico-Legal Journal, this process can be incredibly painful, especially when combined with the sheer panic most people experience while actively drowning.

Now you've done it!

That other poster is gonna start a thread entitled "Trump planning to install glue boards along Mexican border!"

I believe Finland. Latvia, and Estonia are already installing their glue boards along their borders with Russia.

Finland, Latvia, Estonia: We need bigger cats.  😟

I had a friend who drown.  He said it was a pleasant experience.  Needless to say he was rescued and resuscitated.

Glue boards work.

The last thing you want is them breeding.

Terrible things for the mouse , you would need to tread on the mouse to kill it quickly ot let it suffer a slow death

Agree its terrible.

It depends on how squirmish and disturbing things will become with mice around your home. If you can tolerate them then fair enough, try something else. If they start breeding and you simply cannot even sleep in your home out of fear  - then you have to take extreme measures.
