He got the message out there and the predicable rightwing faux outrage did its bit to help.

 

The mainstream media needs to talk about what’s happening in America now, not waffle on about ‘will Bernie run for President in 2028’

 

Millions of Americans just got that message.

More sensibly, Bernie Sanders is 83 and admits to being "tired". He will certainly be aware that his "progressive movement" is going to be in need of a new leader - perhaps (likely) she is being prepared for that role.

 

When she first appeared on the US political scene there were many sneers ( on here and elsewhere) that she was a jumped up bar tender! That has now gone quiet, perhaps because of Donald Trump's imagined apprenticeship with McDonald's?

She makes no secret that she seeks to succeed Bernie Sanders. He seems to have no objection to that. Like Sanders, personally, I like much of what she says.

She has, unlike the various freaks in the cabinet and upper echelons of Congress she has political "bottom" - rather a nice one as it happens. I hope she goes far!

Bernie will always tell you Government knows best. Thanks to the taxpayers he receive great healthcare and can continue to speak his Socialism/Communist viewpoint. Bernie never saw a taxpayer dollar he couldn’t spend…

You had to RSVP to an unsent invitation to attend - the "No Bags, Signs or Guns" was a nice touch. 🤠

Makes one wonder how much this is costing the DEMS to support. No apparent ticket cost, road crew, roadies (for the bands) working 2x 18hr shifts, etc. Was it funded by Soros? (the irony of that boggles the mind)

And where  does he stand ATM?

On February 21, the Times published an interview with Sanders under the headline “Bernie Sanders Isn’t Giving Up His Fight.” In it, Sanders advised the Democrats to recognize that “the system is broken, period. And you can’t patch it up a little here and a little there.”

 

Does he think the audience was going to be ok paying $2-4T more in taxes replacing what the "Oligarchs" usually cover? Ah Bernie, bless his heart. At least he gets to hug the congressional "hottie" on stage.
