Hi BritManToo.

My name is Don, not Bob. Actually I don't live in Thailand, I live in Japan but I do go to Thailand quite often for holidays etc.

I just love it there, especially in the low season when there aren't many tourists around.

Don.

Hi Bob... you aint gonna escape that one 🤡

who is delightful to be around, on a daily basis, always has our back, and is fun, smart, and lovely.

And congrats to Mr. Spider who posted in SEP 2019 *:

But, mostly it is about outstanding companionship, being with a kind, loving woman who always has my back, as I always have hers.

Same girl?

Yes. 20 years now and things are still great between us.

Interesting, I understand your fortune. If I may, what is it that fulfills you on a daily basis?

I get up in the morning and feel a deep sense of well-being here in Thailand. I live in a smaller town so there's very little stress nor congestion, it's a quiet life, my expenses are relatively low and I'm with a woman that I adore. I have a lot of good foreign friends here and I'm able to keep myself busy and able to pursue my passions. And all the years I lived in the US I never felt fulfilled. They're living for 8 years in New York City during the eighties was pretty incredible. But, that was ancient history, and everything has changed now.

So you've flounced over to Japan for 2 weeks now, have you Bob? Must be tough on you, no ladyboys to bumb you, but even worse for the hefty, miserable Mrs. Smith who can't get away from you over there in Osaka and have any young Thai lads come round to root her like she does when you are out on a bender in Pattaya. And only that Japanese food for 2 weeks, that's going to get rough. No more than Ramen and Gyoza, 24/7. Will you be back in time for Songkran in Soi 6/1? Thoughts and prayers.

Hello. You sound troubled and confused.

I live in Kobe, though I do visit Osaka quite regularly as I have friends who live there.

Every post Don, each and every post. You enjoy creating your fictional characters in order to have something in your life. I think you should really research another hobby other than  trolling this forum as you have the last year plus.

Food, travel, politics, things going on in Thailand, I enjoy discussing these topics. Not trolls like you bob/don.  At least both GG's remain the same.

You seem to have forgotten that you are not supposed to be in Thailand (here?) according to you.

Come on Bob you must remember your lines better in future.

As Judge Judy  often quotes. "You do not need a good memory to tell the truth".

It's optional

on the news - Mostly garbage waste of time but I indulge in the mornings. Trying to cut it back

social media - Delete it. Problem solved. Life is too short to be scrolling through narcissism and trash every spare minute.

TV - Garbage waste of time. TV is dying like the telephone IMO.

Reduce the dosage of daily misery.

You are right and the reality is that a lot of us live really well here and we have a lot to be thankful for. For me, it is about quality of life, and my level of fulfillment on a daily basis, which I seem to have here in abundance. A big factor here, is the relatively light hearted attitude of the people. You just do not find that in the US, where most seem bitter, disenchanted, unfulfilled, and heavy hearted. And many are struggling to make ends meet, in an environment that is stupidly over priced.

This is an entirely subjective topic, of course. But some of us have been fortunate enough to find an outstanding woman, who is delightful to be around, on a daily basis, always has our back, and is fun, smart, and lovely. For me, that likelihood of finding that back in the US, would be very low. So, that is a big factor for me.

Also you can live here on a relatively limited income, I can't do that in the US right now.

AMEN to this comment and as usual right on the mark!

Bob, Elvis, Don...

Yet another identity to ignore.

Leopards can't change their spots Bob/Elvis/Don.  You are so easy to spot (no pun intended).

Each new personality tries to start positively but quickly degenerates into attacks and negativity.  Only a personality change would be effective, not a new name on the same old angry rants.  Is being nice so hard?

Hi there,

Does anyone else feel constantly bombarded by negativity, on the news, on social media, on TV etc?... Does anyone else feel like this is all planned? Maybe by the WEF, as there are studies that show when people are afraid they spend more.

Well I'm here to sprinkle a little positivity into your day.

I hope you are having a great one, whatever it is you are doing. I myself am enjoying a nice cup of green tea and reading a good book.

It's nice to be here.

Don.

Thanks, Don. Normal day, breakfast, go to gym for a bit. Water the news from USA (PBS Newshour from last eve. Reading 4.9 Earthquake, now back to reading and maybe a nap before dinner at a German buffet restaurant here in Chiang Mai. OK, confess to commenting on FB about proposed cuts to funding PBS Newshour.

Well, some are really well protected by an Alu-Hat, Donald. They live in a better world in certain ways.

Enjoy your day with Ying and Yang. And singing bowls.🙏

It is not a setup. There are actually a lot of <deleted> going on right now, more than I have ever experienced in my life and I'm old.
