It is not virtue signalling. Multiple members of my family put their lives on the line in active service in WWII serving in the RAF, RCAF,  and US Army in both Europe and  the Pacific. I have an obligation to them and their fallen comrades and friends who did not come back not to allow the glorification of evil to go unchecked.

I'm happy to see you sending up for injustice by opposing the sale of T-shirts.

I remember the uproar in Thailand when an American firm used a Budha image on a bikini. So, they do understand.

I know a person who had his application for a homestay license denied because there were inappropriately placed images of lord master Buddha within the property. They are indeed very sensitive to their own images being misused.

The woman is clearly within her rights to sell whatever she wants but then they need to underhand also when some hippy girls gets a Buddha tattoo on her butt checks.

I recall when stalls were selling Osama Bin Laden T-shirts....

I thought at the time...  there's a segment of society here that is incredibly juvenile and insensitive to world events.

Of course, a simple T-Shirt can't harm anyone, but the imagery is powerful and this shows extreme ignorance - instead of defending herself, the vendor should be ashamed and embarrassed, as should anyone who purchases such items.

Yeah right, don't be soft, just because yoyre offended doesn't mean you are right, what about a those wearing Che Guevara shirts...? Pretty sure there are 2 opinions of him Or is it just certain ones are not acceptable to you?

Back 15 years ago I met a guy who proudly kicked teen from his scooter for wearing German Swastika T-shirt. Not an Indian Swastika, but exactly Nazi's. So what? Did it make world better?
"I don't think so, Tim!"

Earlier, the Consular of Israel send her protest regarding school's costume show in CM. Oh, My God, kids marched in Nazi's attire/entourage!
Did it make any change? Nope, just noisy ripples in press.

"Starship Troopers" actors wore uniforms that resembled German Nazi's. So what? All we remember are boobs of the redhead and huge roaches.

Yet...

Prime Minister of country C. proudly applauded to Nazi collaborator. Did it make world better? Nope, it made it worst. Now it's OK & legit to praise them as "defenders of democracy, freedom and independence".

Do your math.

Do these same people throw a fit when they see Che Guevara or Mao somewhere in the West?  You can't go to another country in a different part of the world and expect locals to cater to your feelings when those figures don't have the same meaning there.

individuals seem to often forget that it's other people that allow them the rights and freedoms that they enjoy.  They come to think of something as being objectively right or wrong.  They become entitled.

True...  and thats a valid point...  I see that equally as distasteful and hypocritical.

I remember seeing T-shirts with Che Guevara for sale in the Student Union (when I was at Uni)...

He was seen as a revolutionary...    Quite different from Mao I'd argue and I never saw in Mao T-shirts in the west.

As some south of the border say about those idealists, tengo una remera del Che y no se porque.

Socialism is different. You're not allowed to think beyond what they tell you.

In a recent online post, Chonticha Nawathong, the owner of a second-hand clothing store in Bangkok, publicised her frustration with foreign tourists demanding she stop selling shirts featuring Russian President Vladimir Putin and Adolf Hitler. Located at the Bang Sue Junction near Chatuchak Weekend Market, her shop showcases rare shirts, some involving contentious figures.

Chonticha claims these tourists are infringing on her business rights by pressuring her to remove the contentious items. She and her partner declined to comply with these requests, standing firm in their right to decide their shop's inventory. Chonticha took to social media to voice her stance, arguing that her shop functions like a museum displaying rare and provocative items, and told dissatisfied visitors to "close your eyes and walk away" if they disapproved.

In addition to posting about the situation, Chonticha shared videos and images of these confrontational encounters. One video records a heated exchange with a Ukrainian man being pushed from her store, showing tensions nearly escalating into violence.

Chonticha also mentioned other vendors facing similar situations. One peer reportedly faced demands to remove a shirt bearing Nazi imagery. Despite the contentious subject, Chonticha insists her shop respects Thai commercial laws, reinforcing her autonomy to sell any shirts of her choice. She invited detractors to purchase and dispose of the shirts themselves if they feel strongly opposed.

As arguments over the rights to free commerce versus cultural sensitivity in business spaces unfold, Chonticha's situation highlights broader issues of globalisation and cultural clashes in increasingly cosmopolitan cities like Bangkok, reported The Thaiger.

What about a Popeye shirt?

I had a well endowed gf years ago who wore a tight Olive Oyl Tank top. She smoked a lot of weed and followed the Dead.
