I thought at the time...  there's a segment of society here that is incredibly juvenile and insensitive to world events.

 

Of course, a simple T-Shirt can't harm anyone, but the imagery is powerful and this shows extreme ignorance - instead of defending herself, the vendor should be ashamed and embarrassed, as should anyone who purchases such items.

Its not important to everyone else...  but, anyone with decency knows this would be offensive. 

 

The lines between basic decency and 'woke' (same mold and mildew that has developed in the west) are being blurred - but it shouldn't.

 

Basic decency has never changed - our tolerance for the lack of it seems to be being eroded, thats all.

And, by the way, when I used to post links, they were displayed like yours, in blue type with a live link. Now when I post a link, it's just displayed in black type with no live link? How do you post your links so they are live?

I’ll admit, I’m something of a fence-sitter on this one. I don’t believe anyone should be demanding that a shop owner stop selling certain items — that’s ultimately a matter for the authorities to decide, not random individuals.

 

At the same time, I completely understand why some people might take offence at such items. Offence is subjective, and in many cases, it's entirely understandable.

 

That said, I also reject the idea that foreigners somehow have no right to voice an opinion. I believe everyone has the right to express their view, provided it's done respectfully and with consideration.

 

This whole discussion is far more multifaceted than some make it out to be.

 

Unfortunately, many approach it with a narrow, binary mindset - you’re either for it or against it, full stop.

These kinds of discussions become especially difficult when they’re dominated by the most extreme and often the loudest voices. The nuance gets lost, and we end up debating dumbed down and over simplified absolutes on a lower intellectual level that doesn't really handle the truer issues at hand instead of working through the complexity.

I have no idea why it was a link as you describe.  Lately I have had to copy and do a paste and go into a web browser 

 

Anyway, as I wrote, yandex.com is a search engine.   Copy and paste "cnn lied", with quote marks, into the search engine field and click on the search button.   After using this search engine for the past few weeks, it seems that there are no filters, like google.com, and it actually will bring up lots of returns, for the subject you are searching for.

Looking for fox lies on google.com will get more responses than cnn lies on google.com.  That is just what google does.  That search engine is a left wing biased and democrat supporting website.   

 

I think yandex does not care. ..  You can do the fox lies on yandex too.  I would not know if fax news actually lies or not. 

 

I see more cnn BS than I do fox, only because cnn comes up more often in my searches than fox does.

In other words, the lady can be lucky she is still in a position to open her shop doors every morning.

 

On the other hand, I am convinced the lady has zero education to know about all these things. Maybe Thai officials should teach her a lesson in history and ethical standards.
