Officers from the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) have arrested a former political party leader, identified only N party, Mr. Jiradet, who was wanted under five arrest warrants issued by the Criminal Court. The suspect was apprehended at a market on Borommaratchachonnani Road in Bangkok’s Thawi Watthana district.

The operation was led by the Natural Resources and Environmental Crime Suppression Division (NED) under the CIB. The arrest followed a tip-off from officers stationed at the South Bangkok Criminal Court, who had been tracking the suspect’s movements. Intelligence suggested that Mr. Jiradet, 35, had recently travelled to Nakhon Pathom province.

A police surveillance team was deployed to Borommaratchachonnani Road, where officers later spotted a suspicious vehicle and followed it to a market in Thawi Watthana. When the suspect exited the car, officers moved in, presented the warrants, and confirmed his identity. Mr. Jiradet admitted to being the person named in all five arrest warrants, for document forgery and was taken into custody before being transferred to the South Bangkok Criminal Court for further legal proceedings.

The operation was conducted under the direction of Pol Lt Gen Jiraphop Phuridej, Commissioner of the CIB, alongside Pol Maj Gen Watcharin Phusit, Commander of the NED. Senior officers Pol Col Winyu Jamsai, Acting Pol Lt Col Natthawat Suranarot, and Acting Pol Lt Col Karanphon Singsri were also involved in the arrest.

The CIB reaffirmed in a statement, its commitment to professionalism, neutrality, and public service, ensuring that justice is upheld in all cases.
