A military truck overturned on Highway 24 in Prakhon Chai District, Buriram, after suffering a tyre blowout, leaving eight soldiers injured. Emergency services rushed to the scene to provide medical assistance and transport the injured to hospital.

At approximately 13:00 on 3 April, officers from Prakhon Chai Police Station received a report of a military transport truck crash on the Chok Chai–Det Udom Highway near Krua Somnuek Restaurant. The truck, which was carrying military personnel, lost control and overturned into the central road ditch.

Emergency responders from local rescue units provided first aid at the scene before urgently transporting the eight injured soldiers to Prakhon Chai Hospital for further medical evaluation.

According to initial reports, the truck was en route to Prakhon Chai District when one of its tyres suddenly exploded. The driver lost control of the vehicle, which then veered off the road and overturned. Soldiers on board sustained various injuries, though their exact condition is yet to be confirmed by medical personnel.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the precise cause of the crash, including whether the vehicle had any mechanical issues or if external factors contributed to the crash. The identity of the military unit involved has not been disclosed.

From all the endless accidents and deaths in Thailand, it seems like the private sector as well as public sectors need an overhaul of vehicle safety training and vehicle inspection programs.....
