Chinese Face Legal Action Over Dangerous Songkran Water Blasts

Featured Replies

The only real issue I have with the festival is the intent to cause harm.  I rarely see Thais blasting people with high volume hoses or pvc pipes.  It happens but is rare.  What Thais have done which irritates me much more than the dangerous high volume hoses is revelling  in causing discomfort with ice water.  I seriously don't see the justification or how someone gets a thrill out of harming others.

I remember being soaked during Songkran in years past with warm water and even having some fun.  I guess if you're shttt faced it really doesn't matter but authorities should get rid of the ice so it could be a more pleasant experience or at least not a miserable one for those sober people that have to pass.

in the end it is over and wasn't all that bad.
