Bit like you did with your Filipino gf?

She actually did that with me. Literally begged on her knees not to throw her out. Kissed my feet. Submitted sexually in many ways. Just so she could stay in Cayman with me. All of for nothing in the end. Poor girl.

IIRC military doctrine says never fight a war on two fronts. Trump has chosen three.

US trade is only 12% of China's trade worldwide. It is also reaching out to other nations who are questioning whether alliances with the USA are worth anything.

Trump lost the last trade war with China, when the US trade was 18%. The fact he thinks he can win a second round is a measure of his delusion.

Only 400 billion, lol.

But you're right, Trump lost the first trade war. China just went via Mexico and Canada. Impossible now.

You're forgetting his triumph in getting China to agree to purchase 200 billion more in goods from America...oh wait a minute...China didn't follow through on that either.

All good experience. One would expect suitable mechanisms in place with the next deal to ensure China keeps the terms of the agreement. Now that the diabolical promise breaking practices of the Chinese are well known.

Aren't you guys betting against Trump tired of losing?

For years, you've been betting he'll be in prison for Jan6.  Then it was NYC and 34 felonies.  Then it was Georgia.  And then when you lost those bets, you doubled down again on "he'll lose the election".

Now you're betting he'll lose the trade war. (Which has been going on for decades- he just decided to quit bending over)    I'd gladly take the other side of that bet, even though I disagree on a lot of his tariff rhetoric.  But not his goals.

Trump will win this second trade war. China is in too much trouble. The US has more bullets.

'Complete meltdown': Top Pentagon staffers fired as 'chaos' engulfs Hegseth’s inner circle

Politico reported Friday that three senior Pentagon officials have now been fired as part of the leak investigation: Hegseth senior advisor Dan Caldwell, deputy chief of staff Darin Selnick and Colin Carroll — who was Deputy Defense Secretary Stephen Feinberg's chief of staff — have all been officially terminated.

Additional firings may be announced soon. According to CBS senior White House reporter Jennifer Jacobs, "at least one uniformed Pentagon official" was also fired in addition to Hegseth's top aides.

Seems there is more to the story . Some internal fighting in the pentagon , using "leaks" to get them fired.

But it looks like they (the hawks and the Israeli lobby/AIPAC) are currently trying to get everyone opposed to war with Iran fired. On Wednesday a third official was escorted out of the Pentagon, with security credentials removed:

A third high-level Pentagon staffer has been placed on administrative leave in two days as part of a probe into media leaks.

Colin Carroll, chief of staff to Deputy Secretary of Defense Stephen Feinberg, was escorted out of the building on Wednesday, following Dan Caldwell, senior advisor to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and Darin Selnick, deputy chief of staff to Hegseth.

3 unwinnable wars ??

3 unwinnable wars ? More like 3 battles , which he may win , at least one of them.

For all practical purposes, the Ukraine/Russia war is over, at least for the USA.  Either Zelenskyy signs on to Trump's proposed deal or the USA walks away.  And in any event, it's just a matter of time before Putin and Trump make an agreement.  So this war isn't one that Trump will have to fight.

The other two wars?  Neither are "winnable" by the USA.  I'm not sure Trump knows that, but he's certainly been told.

You're right , but if you read the link in the OP , I think this is about : China, Harvard, and the Supreme Court.

That's why I wrote battles , not wars.

Sorry.  I just assumed we were discussing actual wars.

If China, Harvard, and the Supreme Court are the issues, I think all of those are up in the air, although I strongly suspect that China will back down and make an agreement with Trump on the tariffs.  I haven't researched the Harvard matter or the issues involved, but if Trump is trying to treat Harvard any differently than other schools enrolling foreign students and so on, he may have a hard time with the Supreme Court, which is already questionable on some issues.  In other cases, the Supreme Court may be more reluctant to wade into what might be a political question.

What have bullets got to do with a trade war unless you actually want a real war!.

Dollars and the renminbi or the Chinese yuan are what are being used in this trade war along with the currencies of the rest of the world.
