I have a very good friend who was born in Cambodia, and lives there, too.

I will ask her about driving around Cambodia.

Most people in Cambodia are not wealthy.

But, I think, by this time, she probably has a car.

I will assume you would rent the car then. Get one in Phnom. Drive the No 6 to Siem Reap, do the temples at Angkor. Some are a good 45 minutes outside the City. Take 5-7 days. Drive to Preah Vihear, thats a day or 2. Drive back to Siem out to Batttambang, then back down to Kampot. Up one side of the Sap, down the other. Finish back in Phnom.

 

Dont do it during rainy season
