A humorous yet clever post from Wang Noi Provincial Police Station's Facebook page has taken social media by storm. The post, featuring two police officers inside a jail cell, amusingly promoted their "prison cell facilities" as a unique lodging option, drawing widespread amusement and engagement online.

Described as a "loft-style" experience, the cell offers a 31 square metre space complete with a bedroom and an en-suite bathroom. Marking its rustic charm, the station humorously highlighted essential ‘amenities’ including free breakfast, good ventilation, and 24-hour surveillance by cameras and staff.

In a playful touch, the post also included ‘booking conditions’, cheekily stating that anyone committing a crime could ‘check-in’ without a deposit, with a tempting offer of spending Saturday night inside and receiving a complimentary extra day on Sunday.

This tongue-in-cheek approach resonated with online audiences, quickly garnering over 72,000 likes and 4,000 comments. Users contributed to the banter by posing comical questions about whether the cells featured a key card system, offered vintage room decor, or if early check-out was possible.

The police station's page administrator took part in the fun, responding with witty retorts to the light-hearted inquiries. The post has been shared more than ten thousand times, becoming a viral sensation.

In a world often filled with serious news, the Wang Noi Provincial Police Station's creative engagement serves as a delightful reminder of how humour can effectively reach and entertain the community, offering a moment of levity and connection online.

I wonder why Thaksin didn't take up this unique offer.

Nice to see police with a well-developed sense of humour. Good for us all.

I've seen hotel rooms that look as bad or worse :

Fun loving Thais. I wonder if other police forces have this sense of humour.

I stayed at a Hostel near Bangkok Airport the room was far worse than this room. Had no TV, bed and pillow as hard as a rock, no sheets one cheap half sized blanket Nothing else in the room. Cost $23 Au per night. The prison cell, what the police have  offered, would have been luxury compared to what I had.Plus it's free.

One better has a good look, those cops are not in a cell I say this is BS.  they are just in a jail house that gives entry to the cells.

Can we complain and be allowed to leave upon learning the cameras did not work and the staff did not check on our well-being regularly?

Of course, there is no such thing as Wang Noi Provincial Police Station. The word 'provincial' has somehow wrongly found its way into the story.
