However, I was referring to the swimwear worn by the voters when I mentioned Aussie's "laid-backness". So, as you can see, I was neither "rubbishing" Australians nor mentioning Trump. I hope that clarifies things for you, buddy. We can see and read the OP and you can continue to lie.. Sad attempt to troll and a classic backfire. 1 1 1

You seem particularly upset today, Dmitri. Is it the US-Ukraine deal, the new US military aid package or the US Congress planning to implement further "bone-crushing: sanctions against Russia that has so affected you, buddy? If you wanna talk about it you know where to find me! 1 2 1

It's compulsory to vote in Oz, it's not compulsory to wear clothing. Are you a Brit? I've got a Pommy neighbour, known him for 20 years, I've never seen him in short pants.😂 Loosen up you Pom's, relax on the clothing 😎 1 1 1 1

Totally fine by me. I just thought the pic was cool as you normally don't see Speedos at a voting station. 2 3

He's a really nice guy, a good friend, it just messes with my mind that he never wears shorts, T shirts or singlets. Always wearing a collared shirt and long pants. 😊 Omg, all I have in my wardrobe are shorts and singlets, a few T shirts. 😎 The only time I wear long pants is to a funeral. 1

Strutting around in shorts and a t-shirt is one of the great benefits of living here, for Pete's sake! I do draw a line at wearing Speedos away from the beach though, so maybe I am a snob.😄 1 1 1

I still fail to see how that title thread could come across as unfriendly unless informal is a negative word for some people. For me it's the opposite. I absolutely hate wearing a tie. 2
Felt 35 Posted May 3 Posted May 3 I've only been to Australia once, and that is almost two decades ago. But I was impressed by their knowledge and skill in guiding people in their own country when I asked for directions, whether it was driving directions or places you simply have to see when there. Felton Jarvis Posted May 3 Posted May 3 Hadn't thought about it. They may be very informal but that's a GOOD thing. No one likes a snob.

Tip of the hat to @Spilornis So by your reasoning every professional swimmer including every Olympic male swimmer is gay? Professional swimmers wear speedos because they are meant for swimming and speed. Most America men feel it necessary to wear swimming costumes that are hugely baggie and come to their knees to emulate rappers. 1

No intermediate swimmer will swim a length in a pool without speedos or jammers, include myself and following my better half I`m not gay, more a hopeless old husband which run to the pool when it's time for house chores.
