First Freddy, I have to ask, because as soon as I post something you are there like glue stick on paper. Do you have a thing for me? Should we exchange phone numbers?

After that, yes, of course I realize that about 150k foreigners can not have a crime rate percentage over a population of roughly 70M. You don´t need to be a genius to grasp that, right Freddy?

I can also see that you clearly understand, as everybody else here, that the reason is lack of enforcement. I give you 5 point for that awesome reflection.

Now, we come to the core of your reply. That is you question if I apologize for the locals committing crimes? What a weird question. Why would I do that? Do I belong to that group? Does it reflect on me as a foreigner if locals break the law, behave bad or can´t keep it together? The answer, Freddy, is a big fat NO! However, if you look at the daily amount of bad publicity from foreigners in the news, that is not because we are a singled out minority.

It´s because the news should make the locals vigilante in reporting and give them knowledge of bad behavior from tourists and expats. As that is happening, it brings us as a group in a bad light. That´s the people I apologized for, as they lack the brains to do it themselves.

No, I don't have a thing for you. I browse through a lot of topics, reading many replies. It's just that you seem, like a few others here, to have a penchant for putting down foreigners and supporting locals, when it's both that are breaking laws. I posted this so you might understand that most of the crime here is locals. I see that you do. Always has and always will be. If you're going to apologize for the foreigners that do wrong, why not for those you hold so dear, seeing you've been here 27 years and maybe think you're now a resident? One thing you won't see here, is news on more than a fraction of what actually goes on daily here. Foreigners get news here because we are the minority, and it stands out, as there are some here that hate foreigners and are quick to point out problems made by the few. They don't post all that goes on here as it would further hurt tourism and money coming in. The problem with that, is that all crime here gets reported somewhere, and can easily be researched.

The cost of fanny' must have gone up! or someone got a sausage surprise' to start it all off is my guess🤔

Both are true indeed . Better be ready to pull out quite a few thousand bahts for barely a couple of hours , at least nowdays. Too much for most broke-ass quality tourists that have been coming in since the past few years.

I doubt it.

With the existence of MMA competitions there is no reason for these yobs to fight in the public streets.

Oh wait, there is one.

They prefer to be selective about who they assault, prefer if it is someone who weighs substantially less and has a low probability of hurting them.

Not long ago I would have agreed with you.

But now I have to disagree.

I have recently been informed on AN that people with tattoos are likely to be more intelligent, richer and more successful than me.

And this was from a poster who states he has no tattoos so I guess it must be true.

I have been so wrong about the people of the tat.

It's true, if he a man of god says such a thing it must be true, our opinions formed over decades must be invalid

Most Thais don't have a high "status".

So you look down on most Thais then?

Since so many people have so much pent up anger, they should set up legal "Fight Clubs".

It's like drugs. If you legalize it, it will take place in confined places.

Here is the video for those who may not be able to access.

From looking at the video it wasn't much of a "brawl" at all.  One big punch pretty much ended everything.

Kissed and made up at the cop shop, no drama.FB_IMG_1746538007332.jpg.232d2fbf0d55570a5ed4d919f5508865.jpgFB_IMG_1746537986282.jpg.5b05d08a16e1e01fefa76685d57a0e49.jpg

I keep on reading about Thailand worrying about a reduction in tourists, with one reason some fearing for their safety. Yet, here we are seeing this highly visible brutal assault on FB that could just as easily led to worse injuries and a stay in the ICU. You would expect this to be easily worthy of deportation, but no a handshake and all is good.

They really need to deal more severely with these low life’s.

Watch the Thai morning news, plenty of Thais at the police station doing just the same, no drama.
