What the f.ck does taking your shoes off have to do with with Israeli tourists contributing to the Thai economy?!

Immediate deportation, and life time ban. Also, shouldn’t she be at the front?!

Tourists money has indeed helped Thailand to develop .

Many felang retirees also claim that their pension money keeps Thailand afloat and without their input of 30 000 Baht a month , the Thai economy would collapse

True that tourist money has helped Thailand just like many other countries, it was her comment Quote "my money built your country" end of quote which is an entitled insult.

As for that old chime of "expat money claim keeps Thailand a float" what is that to do with this conversation? Plus only 30,000 Baht a month? Like any retired person they will spend their money regardless of which country they live in, yes it helps the econamy but not to the extent that Thailand would sink without it.

B0llocks, she's being targeted for being an ar$ehole, nothing to do with her nationality or faith.

I am quite sure that no one would have taken any interest at all is she was from any other Country

it's very simple: "when in Rome, do as the Romans"

that counts also for Thailand!

NO ONE is excluded for such easy understandable shoerules, no farangs, no Thais, nobody, even not Israeli's...

Haven't you read the thread or anything at all ?

Seems like you just read the headline and commented

It terms of it's economic and political system, certainly. Just because they where resettled by the British to Palestine is incidental.

Weak. You got nothing. Only an ad hominem argument. Everything I said is factual and defensible. Prove me wrong. If you dare.

The British didn't resettle Jews on Palestine .

Off topic though , the British tried to stop Jews going to the land you called Palestine......................not that there was even a Country called Palestine back then, but again, off topic

give it a rest Nick ....  she was being an obnoxious b_tch.

look at the responses,   you are talking bs and garbage.

Having a gang on your side doesn't mean that you are in the right .

It was a rather tame reply to some other customers giving her abuse and I expect that they gave her abuse because of her Nationality

Respect the customs of the host country or stay home. Just seeing that shirtless guy in the background makes me wonder: What kind of idiot goes into a cafe or restaurant like that?:coffee1:

The shop owner wasn't concerned about it .

Really nothing to do with what Country she comes from .

Its just Anti Israelis who seem to have a problem with it

"Really nothing to do with what country she comes from". You actually said that when it was YOU who first brought it up - saying Jews are persecuted, she must have been targetted because she was Israeli, probably by an enemy blah blah blah.

If this was a French or a German or - shock horror - a Muslim lady would you have jumped in to this thread to defend her saying she had a bad foot, she is being attacked because of her nationality etc etc? We all know the answer and it's a big fat "no".

Have there been any other threads about a person keeping their shoes on in restaurants  because they had a bad foot ?

If there has been then could you refresh that thread ?

Point being that if it had been a person from any other Country , no one would have taken any notice or said anything or even filmed it

stupid nonsense

Indeed.

These are public places, not private spaces - there is a big difference.

I don't like removing my shoes when entering anywhere which is a public place and never do.

Why? Because my $200 shoes have laces, are hard to replace when stolen as I need to order them from the US and I also wear socks all the time - with zero exceptions. So I am expected to either remove the socks as well or subject them to the 'filthy' floor inside the store - and yes, despite the no shoe rule the floors are absolutely filthy even though you can't see it.

I know this because the time  I did remove my shoes all the dirt collected on the socks I wear.

So I've been in dozens of normal and high end restaurants over the last decade or two while in Thailand and nobody is ever requested to remove their shoes, all the staff are wearing shoes as well.

Nobody is required to remove shoes in public spaces. When was the last time you saw a thousand pairs of shoes outside a busy shopping mall?

There are a couple of pharmacies near me that have a sign in Thai to remove shoes but as a dirty foreigner I can't read Thai so don't remove my shoes 😝...a silly request in the first place  no one removes their shoes to go into Lotus or Big C  they don't even require it at a hospital.

The pharmacy I use in Hua Hin has a sign instructing people NOT to remove shoes before entering - it's in English and you can't miss it.

It's not her home, it's a public place of business and she understands that.

   Same as this story .

People think they can attack Israelis./Jews and that Israelis shouldn't respond to those attacks .

Attack Israelis and then play the victim when there's a response or criticise Israelis for responding to your attacks

When in Israel I tell them they must speak English, nothing is Kosher, and only menus are in Arabic.  I demand this!!!!!   You really have to be either on drugs or a next-level moron to not have any common sense.

Why do they get so mad at me? I don't understand. I tell them the USA gives them lots of money so all Americans can create any rules they want.

I am definitely detecting drugs.

For her sake, I'm absolutely hoping she was super high, on lsd, mushrooms, licking frogs, hanging out with bats, popping pills, you name it....people will then at least understand.   I've done and said soo many idiotic things drunk back when smartphones weren't a thing.  No excuse, but you can move on knowing you only half-remember things.

How many other threads or reports have there been of foreigners  wearing shoes in restaurants ?

It must happen frequently, but its never reported because no ones bothered .

Just this once people have taken interest

That's all in your imagination. Do you think the person filming asked them their nationality when they were being obnoxious? Or did they see someone being obnoxious and decide to record it?

Did you see the Belgian guy getting deported for causing mayhem in 7-Eleven. If he had come from any other country nothing would have happened - I guarantee you. It's a conspiracy against Belgians. The person filming must have been an enemy.

Oh, and the Swiss guy who kicked the doctor? The only reason she complained is because he's Swiss. If he was another nationality nothing would have happened - I guarantee you. It's a conspiracy against the Swiss.

That's what you sound like.

Perhaps because other foreigners haven't been filmed being rude, arrogant and condescending to a nation of people.

Most people will either take them off or decide to leave if they don't want to. They don't go on entitled rants.

The Israeli girl had a bad foot and the restaurant owner said she could wear her shoes inside . It was other customers who made the video and argued .....................as was stated in the first few pages of this thread
