Every needs to give Thailand a whopping applause for becoming #1 in something new. 

That's right folks. Thailand has been named #1 in the world where tourists are treated as cash machines. 

New Op online has them named first as the country where foreigners are treated as cash machines and goes on in the story about their 2 tier pricing for foreigners.

I wouldn’t say this is new.  Been like this for decades.

 

If a foreigners country was in the same social, economic position as Thailand and a tourist destination and the arriving tourists had 10x or whatever the income the outcome would be the same.

 

Thais never loved foreigners just because they’re foreigners.  Get over that myth.

 

A few bucks more at national park or wherever.  No big deal.

 

Many U.S. states have lower fees for residents vs non residents.  No big deal.

Sorry, but my experience in Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Malaysia has been completely different, so, yes, Thailand does stand out...

Even fast food...  My Thai coworkers were masters of the discount coupon, which were only available in Thai.  They'd all get together a little before heading off to lunch and synchronize their coupons.
