Farangs need to stop sending money to Thai girls while living abroad

He obviously is not relocating here soon enough.

 

How long is it ethical to keep these girls on a "leash" by sending money?

 

Basically, the girl is confused and has cognitive dissonance. Because the guy sending money is sort of a boyfriend, but not really since he's not there often.

 

But it's also preventing her from finding a real boyfriend.

 

So farangs need to stop this practice.

 

Either move to Thailand or take the girl back to your country. 

once worked with a guy, been to Thailand through many years and still kept sending money to a no-longer young lady.  He said that she had told him it wasn't really necessary to send her money as she would always be available for him if he showed up, especially since she had 5 other guys still sending her money regularly!  He told us she was just a great friend.

She probably has up to three or more guys sending her money.  You don't know how the system works yet?  Guess not. 
That's the norm, not a "one off." If it makes these guys feel good that they are helping out a "poor" Thai girl?  Really, it's up to them.  Why do you want to put yourself in the middle of a transactional relationship which isn't about you?

I'm glad at least she was honest enough to mention the German sponsor. I'm guessing in most cases they won't. Then you can get yourself entangled in a messy situation.

A lot of guys think it is worth it. 

Getting attention everyday with a 15 minute video call.  Then, when they come for a few weeks holiday they have a cute travel companion they can have sex with.  Why not? It is their life nothing illegal or immoral about it.
