Correct. Cannabis induces calm, not aggression.

Not applicable when mentally ill people are involved and many of the farang cannabis users in Thailand are  mentally ill.

A foreign tourist in Krabi found himself in hot water after a viral video captured him fleeing from a group of irate Thai men. The chaos erupted when the tourist ignored rules at Hat Noppharat Thara–Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park during a visit in April, which has recently gained traction online.

The park’s Facebook page addressed the incident, noting that the tourist had entered the waters of Maya Bay, closed to visitors at the time. When park rangers warned him to leave, he reportedly turned aggressive, insulting both the officials and local boat operators.

Escalating tensions, the tourist also cut in line for a boat trip, shouting to other tourists, "Who’s first?" while raising his middle finger in defiance at the rangers. His actions provoked a physical confrontation with boat operators, compelling him to escape their wrath.

Captured in a TikTok video by user @98jeffers, the man is seen sprinting to avoid being kicked and punched, with witnesses alleging he was under the influence of alcohol. The park confirmed that he faced charges under the National Park Act for non-compliance and ignoring official orders. The act stipulates a possible fine of up to 100,000 baht, though the fine he paid wasn't disclosed.

After the incident, the tourist was taken from the scene and escorted back to his accommodation on Phi Phi Island. This case follows another recent infraction involving a foreign visitor feeding monkeys at Monkey Bay, an act clearly prohibited by the park.

These incidents underscore the enforcement challenges park officials face in ensuring compliance with regulations meant to protect natural sites, as well as the cultural respect expected from international visitors.

Fine him with 1M Baht. He will remember Maya Bay his hole life and definitely follow rules in Thailand.

In general fines in Thailand are just a joke. Far too low.

Just the sort of thing we need during the attempt to boost tourism. “Come to Thailand with lots of money. Fail to understand a sign written in Thai and Tinglish and get your head kicked in by local layabouts”. I bet they will be queuing to book.

Even the look of him would make me wanna hit him....a cunning stunt for sure !

Now they're punching tourists in the face and stomping on their heads.

well, if you walk around like you own the joint and are rude and hostile, they don't tolerate it even though they need the income.

It's was only 3 years ago and the Thais at these tourist hubs were sleeping on the pavements on flattened cardboard boxes and lining up to get a free box of rice and a bottle of water, and they were moaning away...Oh when will the tourists return. Now they're punching tourists in the face and stomping on their heads.

There's tourists and there's pond scum.

Golden rule anywhere in the world is that you are a guest. Respect the people and the customs and you wont have a problem. If you don't like the rules then leave.

Rule 2: Dont cause a ruckus when you get there.

Rule 3: Respect the culture you are in.  (should be Rule 1 really).

100k ($3063 USD) is a pretty hefty fine ❤️

I will try to (partly) refrain from commenting on the multiple tats being an indicator of anti-social behaviour.

No shirt, tats... yeah, OK. I did come here to laugh about how it's always like 30 against one; HOWEVER, back in my high-school days, we used to go out in groups of 20, and if a friend was losing, we would all jump in.

Bad falang story number 98890738307498047304174809713204972410324732049813749034.    Drink more, welcome.

Is that something you have just dreamed up? There was no mention of anything other than alcohol in the OP

Regardless of who provoked whom, they always do it, they attack in packs.

Well....

It is not that they attack in packs.

It's only that farang in Thailand are, clearly, outnumbered, by about 50 to one.

If you have one Farang, and 50 Thai people, then it only LOOKS like they are attacking in packs.

Note: Nobody will attack you if you behave according to local customs, and if you treat others with respect.

Same goes for anywhere.

Some people choose not to be respectful.

Why?

If I had of been there there would have been only three hits in it.

Me hitting him, him hitting the ground and the ambulance hitting 100.

Or him hitting you, you hitting the ground, and us not seeing your silly replies for awhile.

Another assumption added to the daily supply. Yaba and weed do completely different things to different people, with weed a lot more likely to have anyone using it be calm. Yaba can make some people have a hair trigger. This could also just be an arrogant moron who isn't respecting a different country. It doesn't take drugs to act like a moron for some.

This isn't just a personal opinion; it's what we usually see in videos on the news every day. I insist, it's probably the Farang who's causing incidents like this, but you and I know how Thais react; in packs.
