I have a feeling its more to this story that the OP not telling.I been arriving 76 times and never had any problems.

They never ask for my return ticket only asked where i stay. And when i say the name of the hotel they run it and say ok.. enjoy ur stay. One time the lady officer ask me why im coming again and i joked and said for seing my mistress.

She told another lady officer to come to the desk and told her i arrived for meeting my mistress. They asked me how many i have and i said 11.We all laughing and stamped my passport when their shaking their heads.

But i seen people get arrested at the airport when try to get entry.

Just like the immigration officer who denied my entry, when I asked if he could tell me the reason for the denial, he only replied, "You won't be entering the country today.

They want you to use the "fast track "- guaranteed and paid for entry. A friend had been in Thailand for a while in 2024 on visa exempts, went back to UK for a while and got a multi-entry tourist visa. On arrival in Bangkok, they wanted to refuse him entry. He argued his case. They told him "a visa does NOT guarantee entry". Eventually they let him in. He had to travel out again, so next re-entry, he used the "fast track" at about 4,000 Baht. Seems immigration at BKK are getting difficult in order to facilitate "fees". Likely shared amongst all the officers.

How it works:

You contact an agent, they ask for a copy of you passport. You pay them in advance. They apparently get some sort of  "approval". On arrival, you meet the "agent" near the entrance to an immigration hall (1 or 2). They then escort you to a desk where you are stamped in with no questions.

Removed an off-topic post and the replies to it. The OP did not write that he used the electronic departure gate when he left Thailand in December 2024.

come on, just use the safe entry. Who cares about these bipolar thai immigration officers, especially female officers! However, i think foreigners aren't no more welcome in thailand. I feel like there is even more racism from thai people. And who always invent these type of visas? Thai government! But then they don't want foreigners anymore!? Totally nonsense🙄☹️😖😦😮‍💨

This topic makes me think about that Israeli girl that said: my money built your country. Maybe she was feeling this type of racism from the locals

My old passport was expiring in February of the following year and I decided to renew it now that I was in Spain.

I have visited Thailand about 20 times in the last 15 years and have never had any problems with immigration so I don't think my name are confused with someone else but who knows ,,,,

Its most likely because your ed visa stamp wasnt canceled and when the Imm questioned you your answer, even if true, matches the standard excuse of family emergency and when you couldnt answer what is considered an easy question you couldnt so he presumed you may be trying to play the system. you could try applying for a tr visa but may be denied for the same reason. You can try a fast track agent, tell them the whole truth, or a lwayer who can get you info but may not be much more help. I would make sure to explain the family emergency and that you want to clear and close the ED visa if necessary. Contact MOF on their FB page and ask them for guidance.

I've contacted the central immigration office in Bangkok. That's the contact the embassy referred to me.

I don't have many expectations for a response. Just like the immigration officer who denied my entry, when I asked if he could tell me the reason for the denial, he only replied, "You won't be entering the country today.

I have friends who told me to use "fast track" and come now, and other friends tell me I should first find out if I have a ban. The agents I've contacted don't give any importance to whether I have a ban or not.

I prefer the second option: first find out if I've been banned and then apply for a visa to gain access.

What is 'fast track'?

OP should have told the Immo officer that he was a student in a Thai boxing course -- and could demonstrate the basics right there and then.

That's what I want, if anyone has been in a similar situation I would appreciate it if you could give me the contact information of the lawyer who helped you.

You should be able to enter with a new visa, the problem is if you go to an immigration office for an extension you will need to clear this overstay. 500 baht per day up to a maximum of 20,000 baht.

No document. Just entry.

Payment is via options such as QR code etc

Not sure your reason for insisting on returning to Thailand. The IO have smelled a rat in your intention meaning the visa you had applied for and your last method of coming to Thailand does not satisfy their requirement to allow you entry. Was it that the IO was in a bad mood, can’t say but it is what it is.

So the arriving passenger shows a QR code? Is the QR code in his/her passport, or ???

Guessing your question re payment is just a wind up.

Clearly anyone wishing to use "safe entry" agent will contact agent and be advised of what to send eg passport copies and arrival flight details etc + payment options.

Your point?

You can do that quickly via contact in link I provided earlier.

I had a chit chat via messenger. Not difficult.

Safe entry, get you into the country no matter what your previous entry history was and no matter if you have been denied entry previously.

I'm not doubting that at all, but how does the Safe Entry company guaranty that their customer isn't blacklisted or otherwise barred from entry, perhaps by virtue of a checkered entry history?  Do they have a method of checking the passport against immigration records?

Certainly, they can't guaranty entry to any and all, regardless of history.  Or do they just inform the customer not to even try if there are red flags?

Again, I'm not doubting that it's a worthwhile service.  Just wondering how it works...

The agent will just look at the passport.

In the main the safe entry is for folk with  frequent visa exempt entries

Even perhaps including a refused entry.

There are also certain visas that cause attention such as the "volunteering visas" during Covid and Ed visas.

The agent will advise on fee depending on situation.

Having a Ban I suggest don't try and enter with or without an agent.

That's kind of what I was getting at...  If you have a home country arrest warrant, an Interpol red notice or... or..., I don't know how any agent can guaranty entry.  I'd hate to pay the 4000 baht, buy a 35,000 plane ticket and still get turned away.

True.

As pointed out this "safe entry services" is in the main for group of folk outlined above.

Most common would be the ..."you come Thailand to muk get proper visa"

In the main visa exempt crew.

Several months in Thailand visa exempt + extensions.

Even those banned on previous overstay ? (Just curious, I've never overstayed.)

They've already confirmed that I can enter through the secure entry, but my question is this: Will I also need a secure exit? Will I need a secure entry for the rest of my lifetime entries?

Because of these concerns, I'm reluctant to use this type of service... I've always tried to do things right, I have money, and I like to sleep peacefully at night without worries.

I've already paid the 6,500 baht to have my immigration history checked and to confirm that, although they didn't put a stamp in my passport, there's no explicit prohibition in the immigration system.

I'll keep you updated.

Need secure exit ? Answer NO.

Secure entry for lifetime? Answer NO.

Chill. You already wasted 6500 on ban check.

Consider other options ongoing.

Look into DTV and see if that suits your plans.

Clearly under 50?
