A road crash in Suphanburi has claimed the lives of an elderly couple and left another woman critically injured. According to reports from the Samaekan Rescue Foundation in Suphanburi, the incident occurred at a U-turn point near Wat Sam Chuk on Route 340, heading into Suphanburi city, in Sam Chuk subdistrict, Sam Chuk district.

A white Honda car collided violently with a motorcycle at the U-turn location. Emergency responders found two elderly victims, a man and a woman who were not named, deceased at the scene. Additionally another passenger on the motorcycle, a woman sustained serious injuries and was promptly rushed to hospital for urgent medical treatment.

The damaged white Honda remained lodged against the motorcycle following the crash. Authorities swiftly arrived at the scene to secure the area and initiate an investigation into the circumstances of the collision.

Initial investigation suggests that the car struck the rear of the motorcycle as it was traveling in the same direction and in the far left lane. The impact  pushed the motorcycle and the passengers some distance along the road. The surviving victim was reportedly thrown by the force of the impact into the car’s windscreen.

The deceased’s bodies were transported to the hospital before being released to their families for funeral arrangements. Police have confirmed that legal proceedings will follow as part of the inquiry, once the investigation is completed.
