Fine him the maximum, put him in jail for a month and revoke his licenses in Thailand for 2 years.Deporting is a bit over the top if this is his first brush with the law but if it happens again put him on a plane marked for Putin.

Apart from being very close to 2 small roads in which there are a lot of small thai houses + a local dispensary/hospital where employees have their dormitories, it is right in front of a big thai marine building.. + at the side of Baan Somprasong condominium which is right on the beach..

In some countries law admits confiscating the "tool" which has been used to commit an offence.. in this case the car.. if belongs to me.. but seems a big punishment for me

The guy seems like a decent guy when he speaks with the police officer.. he surely acted like an idiot and maybe was drunk (which is not an excuse but at the contrary a second offence when driving.. if unknown for anything else should get his immigration status checked (lots of russians are around and I wonder how so many "young" people get a visa to stay here for months) and a heavy fine should be a sufficient punishment.. first and last chance given to him

Deport ing him for some night noise nuisance seems a bit heavy to me.. there is no legal punishment for being an idiot.. maybe a one night stupidity.. !!

Agreed, after hanging, drawing and quartering, drag his divided corpse on multiple ropes behind the BMW and do donuts around the deserted car park to provide swift justice and proof of a ' crackdown ' by the BIB.

I suspect some conditions come along with getting a Permission of Stay, or an extension of it, surely behaving oneself is one of those and respecting the local laws. Break those terms and the 'visa' can be revoked. The deflection to the locals is not relevant, we have enough scofflaws in the country!
