Anyone know where can get aspirin ? Pharmacies I go to have said only get at hospital in this crazy country.A simple aspirin , I ain't paying 1000 baht to see a  doctor just to get an aspirin

Yep - you gotta go to a hospital or clinic.  After your initial visit you can probably get a clinic to mail it to you when you want it, but it will cost you. The days of getting 81mg aspirin at the local pharmacy is gone. Sucks, but protecting people from themselves always sucks.  The same with trying to get Pseudoephedrine. They can't allow the plebs to have it because they'll combine their handful of pills together and cook up a batch of methamphetamine for sure, you know, just like Walter White.  It's effective for sinus congestion but it's next to impossible to obtain.  Even the doctors will get in your way. "We Can't give you 10 tablets - you might cook up some yaba."  Why? meth it readily available on the street and any village and it's cheap if I wanted yaba.  I don't.  I just would like to breath when I'm congested.

If you have a Thai GF or wife, have them get if from the local amphur government hospital.  Get to know the doctors.  They'll just give you a bag full and it's a 30 THB charge for your lady-friend.  I've got a bunch of it as my wife gets it every time she visits the hospital for her regular appointments.

I think the OP just wants to thin his blood - he obviously hasn't read advice from American College of Cardiology.......but I agree about Ultracet.

I was suffering from a pingpong ball sized bladder stone - excruciating pain.  Ultracet was far more effective than what I was prescribed in UK - Co-Codamol & I could take less pills (I hate pills) & have a greater painkilling effect.

In Thailand? That's totally sketch selling pangs of that to farang on regular basis.

I wouldn't doubt mine does tbh but why mess with that rubbish? Unless you've some wholly debilitating chronic pain issue and then there's stuff like Diclofenac

I was given 50mg tramadol post-op. I took one. My head was swimming, naseua, itchy...I think the strip is now we'll over a year old.

Actually it's not that big a deal as I see I can get 325. Doubling that is close enough to 500 if desired.

For fever, headache or back pain 650 and two tabs is the dose I remember. You'll be fine with that...just have to find it lol

I've got a congenital lower back whatchamacallit, and when it occasionally goes out, maybe once every other year, I can barely walk.  Lying flat in bed is too painful to sleep.

Couple tramadol twice a day for 3-4 days to full recovery.  Need to have a supply on hand, no way I can walk into a pharmacy then.

What's weird though, can't walk without excruciating pain, but I can jump on a bicycle and ride 100km no problem.

Ask in health forum for exercises. Sounds like muscles and not spine. I had some serious lower back pain. Fixed it with exercise

Next time try Diclofenac 50mg but that stuff nasty too. Even Naproxen 500mg. Narcotics are nasty shortcut imo. Older I get more I try to eliminate meds from my body

Sounds legit. There's always some sus UK druggie comes on the board asking where to score tramadol.

Good luck with the pain.

Yes, back muscle strengthening exercise helps, but sometimes I do something I shouldn't do.

Tramadol works for those rare occasions.  It's fine.

Aspirin is restricted due to local folks over dosing when treating Dengue fever.

It's not about overdosing.  It's about Dengue HEMORRHAGIC fever.  That key word is hemorrhagic.  If your taking a blood thinner when you get Dengue you an literally bleed to death - like through your skin and internal organs.  If you get Dengue though, and your on 81mg aspirin for blood thinning, that should be one of the first things out of your mouth when you consult a doctor - and if you have Dengue, you are wise to be under the care of a doctor

It was an appropriate response to the cr4p you posted, and you have to ask about Fascino?

Good luck with that, since Bayer suddenly and for no admitted reason pulled out of the Thai market for aspirin it's been nearly impossible to get hold of.

However - it does exist in some pharmacies but not in the 500mg size.

I have seen 300mg enteric coated Aspirins in various places - the brand name is Asprex and they come in strips - there's also a bottle which contains 100's of similar enteric coated tablets that you can get.

Two of the above is near enough......

Essentially you need to take eight 81mg aspirins to equal a standard dose of two 325mg aspirins.

I was under the impression that it is due to parents over-medicating their children, not necessarily folks already taking some form of blood thinner, as the reason for aspirin sometimes being removed from pharmacy shelves.

Certainly did get laid, thanks.

Your comprehension is pathetic, I never look down on Pattaya - sone of the miscreants who live there, maybe.

I have been a fearless defender of Pattaya for 20 years and although I don't go in so often (a shag usually) I have always maintained that Pattaya has something for everyone - the secret is to use Pattaya and not let Pattaya use you

It's restricted, since healthcare is a multi trillion $$$ industry, and so much more profitable all around, if meds are restricted.  Doc gets to charge you for writing simple script for the mildest of meds.

Restricted gives the illusion it's expensive, so larger profit for higher pricing.

Since the symptoms of Dengue are nothing more than the flu, at on set, and beyond, unless a bad case, or worse, hemorrhagic.  In which case, unless stopping aspirin as soon as 1st symptoms, then it's probably to late too bother stopping, unless hemorrhagic, which you would be diagnosed too late anyway.

So pretty much screwed if on heavy dose of aspirin and get Dengue hemorrhagic fever.

I don't normally hear of Thais using aspirin.  If over medicating kids was an issue, then Thailand would have prescription laws like the West.

Exactly - doctors get their cut, pharmacies get their cut, Big Pharma gets their cut.  It's a con.  $$$Cha-Ching$$$
How much does it cost to see a doctor in the US now.  A couple hundred bucks or more if you're paying out of pocket. Free if you're an illegal alien.
