Puget Sound (Seattle area) gives the best of both (mountain and water views)

Obviously taken with a very long telephoto lens as the Olympics do not look like this. I once lived in Seattle on Capital Hill when working in Seattle. On rare occasions, when it was not raining, I had a view of the Olympics in the distance. A very nice view in the wintertime when snow was on the mountains.

I do get my share to. Got a thumbs down because in my opinion, the best thing about Thailand was my wife.

How someone can give thumbs down for that, is outside my imagination

Got thumbs down fan club myself.   Posted snaps of dragonfly & bird ... got a thumbs down.

Go figure :cheesy:   Some sad folks on AN

View from the yard.  I'm about 500m from a beautiful and deserted beach.  I go swimming every early morning.

The tall mast (21m high) supports one of my radio ham antenna wires.  The antenna in front of it is for sending SSTV (TV pictures). It's not high enough yet but I have to work out to get it higher without the wind blowing it over...

There are some nice sunsets from my bedroom balcony too, this one taken through the security screen. On a clear day you can see the mountains in the distance.

My view is of an industrial estate.

You seem to have a terrible life here. Either that or you simply like to complain.

Dude you do know you are a target of the Emojinauts? There is a guy not posting here (he may have been tossed) running it. All Trump supporters get thumbs down no matter what.

When I was told this I almost peed myself laughing

Oh dear. First hot flashes and now incontinence?

When I lived in Cambodia, one of the bar managers would regularly coordinate motorcycle trips to tour old Khmer temples. After seeing a couple I stopped. I'd seen enough pikes of old rocks.

Geolocating is such an interesting science these days. Like giving people your address.

Look at that, political doxing in a supposed to be fun topic. Gag

My view yesterday was fabulous. It was micro, not macro.

Anybody know the species?

Back in the day we needed a bigger office, and I looked at a place near the top of our building.

"It's a wee bit expensive for the size..."

"Aye, but look at the view over the harbour"
"Ye're right - I'm not paying extra for my staff to stare out the window"

My mate told me he was much happier on a low floor, when he could see people outside his window, not views that never changed.

A view from top of a building constantly changes, light, sky, clous, weather traffic, boats

When I first got here, I had a nice condo on the 27th floor. I loved the view, how quiet it was and the lack of bugs, but I like watching the foot-traffic in front of the shophouse.

For the office - I prefer a nose down knuckles to the grindstone view of the work in front of you.  At home, I like an expansive view, but interesting beats nice.  Back in the day, I had an expansive view over Singapore and the highlight was the flare stacks off in the distance wherever they were.
