That’s a conclusion that might be drawn if the information on how much immigrants contribute to the economy is not presented.

Here is a graph from Denmark about immigrant contributions that no doubt is replicated in the UK.   What do you notice about this?  What conclusions would you draw from it?

Meanwhile, British pensioners who paid into the system all their lives freeze in their homes.

Well they are stupid are they.

It is the Brits handing out all the cash.

The Muslims didn’t make the rules.

And they pay more in taxes than they take as a group anyway.

No. You are blaming everyone, other than accepting responsibility for the  deficiency. It is the electorate who set the rules. It is the electorate who put the MPs in office. It is easier to pint a finger at the judiciary and the police than to accept that  the impediment to immigration reform are the people themselves.

How often do we see a violent   migrant take refuge in a Church and some group to claim that there is a right of sanctuary? (There is none). How often did we see idiots block removal efforts  of violent offenders? The people doing the blocking were never held accountable by friends or family or the public. Instead they were more likely to be celebrated as heroes.  How does some of the UK public  have a moral right to complain when it returns MPs like  Sarah Owen, the Labour MP for Luton North who offers the bankrupt position that the best way to avoid the UK becoming an “island of strangers” is to invest in communities so that they thrived.

Or, Nadia Whittome, the Labour MP for Nottingham East, who claims that “Migrants are our neighbours, friends and family. To suggest that Britain risks becoming ‘an island of strangers’ because of immigration mimics the scaremongering of the far right.”

The UK votes in MPs like that, who determine government policy. It is up to the UK voters to  vote in MPs who have  a different position.

I agree, up to a point. I do, however, feel that some senior people in the institutions are not working in the best interests of the UK. They are appointed, not elected, and as such there is not much that voters can do to bring them into line.

Putting this into a context that might very well apply to members of this forum.

A British citizen marries a Thai national moves back to the UK with his Thai wife and perhaps their children, then someone in their household is in receipt of benefits, those benefits are added to the tally.

Perhaps Brits who marry foreigners should be denied all UK benefits.

Might? Perhaps?

Perhaps, one day, you might stop your continual diversions away from the bleedin' obvious!

So soon you prove my point by doubling down on imagined opinions.

I don’t mind being in the minority who understand there are two sides to all equations.

The rapid rise in benefit claims equates to the rapid rise in immigration. I think that we all understand that.

The age groups must be factored in too.

Most immigrants are under 50 years old. They are concentrated in the age range that contributes (or children who will contribute), and there are few people at retirement age or close to it. It's likely the case in the U.K. too.

to compare with the age structure in Denmark:

0-14 years: 16.42% (male 494,806/female 469,005)
15-24 years: 12.33% (male 370,557/female 352,977)
25-54 years: 38.71% (male 1,149,991/female 1,122,016)
55-64 years: 12.63% (male 370,338/female 371,149)
65 years and over: 19.91% (male 538,096/female 630,475) (2020 est.)

They are no longer Brit.   These wonkers and <deleted> will be put into the mind chamber and forget everything they did, spent, learned, etc... on the dreafful island of islamabaduk.  passport burned.   family shamed.  family denied benefits as well.  even talking to a foreigner might be enough to lose that pension.

I'd say the muslims, some, well, more than some, are exploiting the rules.  bending the laws.  more than bending.   Brits are trying to follow America and be a melting pot.   Trump is boiling the pot, the frogs are asleep.   The UK is reading the tea leaves.

UK needs to make reparations to China, India, most of Africa, America...... to the tune of 198339434838 zillion dollars.

What does this have to do with the price of somtam in Pattaya?  everything.   or nothing.

The Britain for which previous generations fought and died to protect is being betrayed by senior members of the civil service, the judiciary and the police.

I get that and it grieves me, but all the same they just did what they were told. The ‘silent’ greatest generation would be turning in their graves. There is clearly merit in immigration and I’m all for means tested, absolutely no issue, but this current en-masse influx debacle is a ruiner of states. Putin loves to inflict that kind of damage, but sadly our own perpetrate it (typically rich liberalistic boomers with multiple properties) and will never have to live next door to it.

It is idiotic garbage like this that has me shaking my head. Are you actually F serious? It is NOT a problem that a European (or ANY) national paying their way live in Britain. A total non-issue. Only a bigoted xenophobe would be against that. THE problem is mass unchecked immigration with cap in hand. Sort yourself out, man!

Rubbish,  my Thai wife and two children when I moved back to the UK did not receive benefits, in fact my wife started working immediately and payed income tax to the exchequer from day one.
