In a remarkable turn of events, Pattaya police raiding a notorious drug hotspot in Jomtien uncovered a 13-year-old boy aiding a drug dealer in distributing methamphetamine. The raid, executed by Chon Buri Provincial Police on June 3 in Jomtien Soi 2, led to the arrest of 39-year-old Bang-on, colloquially known as "Krathin," a figure well-versed in the local drug trade.

Krathin, a familiar name to law enforcement with a lengthy criminal history, was discovered with 78 meth pills and 0.75 grammes of crystal meth. The revelation of the 13-year-old's involvement shocked officers further. The teenager was found with seven meth pills and nearly 3 grammes of "ice." His confession has raised significant concerns about the increasing entanglement of youth in Pattaya's drug scene.

The investigation extended to a nearby residence, revealing an abandoned and cut Electronic Monitoring (EM) tag. Krathin admitted to cutting off the tag to continue her dealings unabated, showing blatant disregard for capture. "I’ve been arrested so many times, I don’t care anymore," she candidly told the authorities.

This incident is part of a larger initiative to clean up Jomtien, an area persistently plagued by narcotics activity. Several drug users testing positive were also apprehended and directed towards rehabilitation, illustrating the police force's commitment to tackling substance abuse.

Footage from local residents has further exposed the brazen nature of drug transactions happening openly in the streets. These recordings have spurred the police to maintain pressure on the area until it is liberated from drug-related activities.

Jomtien, a district frequently mentioned in crime reports, faces a deep-rooted challenge as highlighted by this recent arrest, showcasing not only the entrenched drug trade but also the alarming involvement of minors. The authorities' ongoing crackdown seeks to restore safety and order to the community.
