Since October 2024, when a cholera outbreak was officially declared in South Sudan, the situation has spiralled out of control.

Cholera can kill within hours. It starts suddenly, draining the body with diarrhoea, vomiting, and cramps.

This  is Sudan; a country too poor to afford mass vaccination but if they could get vaccinated they surely would and for polio and all the major illnesses that kill and maim people. We are SO LUCKY TO COME FROM COUNTRIES where vaccinations are standard medical practice. Not everyone is so blessed. We must ignore the anti-vax loonies who seek to undermine medical science.

Correct. And to imagine that some countries are ruled by clowns who appoint anti-vaxxers as head of public health is beyond insane.
