too many mean tweets? Calling others and their supporters as hitler, nazi's, garbage, horrific like that? How about the time he (biden) checked his watch during a dignified transfer while Trump saluted caskets during a dignified transfer. Is showering with ones daughter, (name Ashley Biden) horrific or normal in your world?

High inflation, rampant OUT OF CONTROL crime, record fentanyl deaths, record covid deaths, open borders complete with the worst humanitarian, child sex trafficking and security crisis in US history....like all that? How about all those pardons he gave to members of his crime family? Horrific like that? Like when he drained the SPR (strategic petroleum reserves), ignored the SCOTUS on matters relating to student loans?  Like using auto-pen as a mentally challenged, unfit to face criminal indictment for espionage....horrific like that?  You made more sense plying AN with your plagiarism, how's that for horrific, or maybe thats just desperate fecklessness.

If not, then whats horrific? Be specific

Horrific, how so....like Biden or worse?

LOL

Most Americans, not all, are similar to Trump, childlike who throw hissy fits when they don’t get their way and shamelessly entitled and selfish. It is the land of the Karen.

Riots are common in the USA, people going out wrecking private people cars, businesses etc to protest against the “government”.

They are morons. And they enjoy making up conspiracy theories.

Trump appeals to this majority which is why he was voted in not once, but twice.

If it all ends in civil war I won’t be worried.

I can’t stand them.

When was the last time you were there, or stayed there for more then a week? You, again, know nothing about America besides the  videos you see online. I'm guessing you forgot about the protests here. Try looking up crime in any country, including your own. Half of the Americans didn't want Trump. Many of those that did voted for him because the other party was weak, and not because Trump was better.

It's always best to stay out of a discussion unless you have solid knowledge about both sides. You never have. You assume constantly in almost every post.

You hate Americans because you don't know or understand them. Maybe because you're still fighting the Revolutionary War where we kicked those morons out that were trying to control any nation they could. Do you not realize we are allies that have helped each other all during the last century? Do you not also realize how many from the UK live in America? Why is this? I could easily say I hate Brits because some are like you but I never generalize nor hate any nationality, race or creed, as none are bad individually. Prejudice towards people you don't know is ignorance.

I just can't understand the Amarican mentality, but I understand where the violence comes from. No brainer

Was the reporter ordered repeatably to move back and were they refusing?

If so, I think the officer was withing his right to move them along.

If the reporter not been told to move back, and if the officer shot the reporter intentionally, I think the officer should be fired and prosecuted for assault.

That's the really interesting part about the four years of Biden. There was absolutely nothing good that came out of that administration and time period. NOTHING

The left doesn't deny it they just ignore it. They do so by continually howling at the moon at every move Trump makes. Of course all of this is purely reactionary. Trump is at least this time around much wiser and three steps ahead of all of them. This anger is them into temper tantrums to no end. Much of the crying you see here on this forum on a daily if not hourly basis.

Alabama news site AL.com reported Monday that Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) — who used to be the head coach of Auburn University's football team – recently called California a "third-world country," saying that "anarchists are in charge, law enforcement is being attacked and the rule of law is nonexistent."

Newsom didn't let the comment slide, and pointed out that Tuberville's state actually has a much higher violent crime rate than the Golden State.

"Alabama has 3X the homicide rate of California. Its murder rate is ranked third in the entire country," Newsom tweeted. "Stick to football, bro."

But, here ya go, a reminder of your democrats and what they stand for.  Nice and simple even for you.

There is a lot of truth in that video.    The Dems refuse to learn.

Maybe Newsom should compare the two states literacy rate.  LOL

worse than Biden's crime family shenanigans, Bidens lawfare trying to imprison his political rival and SUPERIOR? If Trump is corrupt and Biden ain't then what exactly is this thing you refer to as corrupt, and also provide some examples or go down as the gaslighter and plagiarist you are. why didn't Trump pardon his family and WHY DID BIDEN!

What is then4 year auto-pen fraud and hoax perpetrated by the mentally challenged Biden and his handlers? Thats the biggest scandal to his US politics, and all thanks to the corrupt retard Biden. How does that fit into your assessment of "corruption"? LOL...shake your head, extricate it from whatever orifice you inserted it.

You got nothing, big time. You just got copious amounts of hatred and the lingering taste of $hit in your yap from all the turd burgers you eat every day  and it shapes your idiotic responses.

A profound and clearly reasoned explanation of your political viewpoint, @illisdean, and one which rather explains why US politics is unravelling as it is!

Not to mention, ICE wasn't just cruising the streets of LA looking for brown people to harass. They were executing criminal warrants on specific individuals. People charged with crimes from rape to murder to child abuse.  So if THESE are the types of "migrants" that California's left wants to keep in the country, they are welcome to them.

Also, the protesters who engaged in violence need to be caught and prosecuted. Especially the idiots who stood on highway medians and threw CONCRETE BLOCKS at passing cars. That is tantamount to attempted murder of a law enforcement officer. They need to be put away for a loooooooong time.

Thank you for your observation. It has no relevance whatsoever to this discussion.

Regardless of the discussion (although nationalism is definitely part of the topic) I thought I would just point out your hypocrisy.

Returning, no doubt briefly, to the original "premise" of deploying troops (both Californian National Guard and USMC) into Los Angeles, has Mr Trump invoked, and announced publicly that he has invoked any of the Laws and Acts which may authorise him to do so?

If he hasn't, then what is their and his, lawful position?

The basics I heard was that local law enforcement could not guarantee security of federal buildings in LA. They were called and took 2 hours to respond, even though it is a 10 minute walk from police HQ. So federal troops will provide security for federal buildings and employees. The police can deal with the rioters and criminals.

In theory.

Newsom should quit being a democrat who campaigns using lies, deceit to gaslight Americans diverting their attention from his absolute and profound failures as governor who thinks he is in the same league as Trump, or JD Vance which he is not but is on par with the tampon obsessed lunatic and self proclaimed dip$hit from Minnesota, Tim the pathological liar walz. so easy to see why Trump cruised to victory in the 2024 election.

That raises more questions. If the government attacks "we the people" isn't that where the

2nd amendment is for?

No.  Cute choice of words though.

We the people ( even illegal aliens as they are our unwanted guests) should be lawful and not be inciting violence or impeding the federal officers.

The government isn’t attacking them (rioters).  There attacking the government.  The government will repel their attacks.

You still can’t figure that out,  can you?

Perhaps so, but shouldnt there be, at least be a formal public declaration or finding that that has actually happened, rather than a late night posting frenzy on the President's own social media channel, principally characterised by referring to the Governer of California by derogatory nicknames based on "puns" of his name?

You know, dignity of the Office of President, gravity and magnitude of events which threaten the country and so on?

One other point, should such steps be taken after deliberate attempts to manufacture the initial crisis by various Federal agencies, operating together to undermine the settled municipal and state authorities, municipal and state authorities which have, after all been elected! It might be deferred in "child speak" as picking a fight, we are after all dealing with an administration which is often compared with children having tantrums!

Oh, So the president shouldn't intervene when a governor is not doing their job of protecting their citizens.

The elected officials are elected by citizens of the USA not Mexico or any other country. Their job is to protect the citizens not fight the federal goverment, but they dont seem to care about their citizens, just illegal.

Only one side is trying to initiate riots, wanting people to destroy Teslas, and you know it's not the MAGA side.

Have you watched the riots??  People saying California belongs to Mexico,  that Mexico was stolen and they are taking it back.

I still dont understand how people can support letting people to illegally stay in the USA and enjoy benefits.
