A better question might have been "do you support further conflict in the Middle East" which I would have answered NO

Only because you could not answer yes to supporting Irael, and you do not want to admit you support Hamas and Iran.

You're right, I do not support Israel, or any other combatants anywhere on planet Earth.

It will not be carpet bombing, but pinpoint attacks with bunker busting bombs delivered by B2 stealth bombers.  While Iran has said they will build even deeper facilities next to Nantanz the construction can be interrupted on a regular basis.

Thats the Grand Finale. Once everything else is a flaming ruin and the skies are clear, C-17 drops a Bunker Buster. Dont need a B52.

I wonder when Israel makes these decisions if they ever even consider the concept of blowback and whether or not this will come back to haunt them in the long run. I'm not supportive of the Iranian government on any level, and I think they're up to no good but there are methods and then there is madness.

The 30,000 pound GPU-57A/B MOP can only be delivered by heavy bombers such as the B2 Spirit.  This weapon is larger than the 2 previous Bunker Busters.

I believe Israel has weighed the possible repercussions and feels they are much better than facing nuclear annihilation.

No, Jews never consider "the concept of blowback and whether or not this will come back to haunt them in the long run.", they just live in the moment.

They should have waited until after Iran nuked them.

Iran is pledged to the destruction of Israel.

Iran tried to kill President Trump

Iran has threatened the UK and the USA repeatedly.

Iran was again caught lying about their nuclear weapons program, the most recent was yesterday. Iran had an active program of concealing their nuclear weapons program and that even when  the nuclear deal was in place,  Iran purposefully hid information about its activities.

Iran was not negotiating in good faith with the USA in respect to a new nuclear agreement. in fact they were stalling and delaying, which  is an indication that it was most likely  trying to finish off a nuclear weapon  or weapons prior to a possible agreement.

In consideration of these demonstrated facts, how would you have handled iran? Sanctions were not working. Iran was financing terrorism around the world. What other option was there other than to neutralize the nuclear arsenal facilities?

Statement from Secretary of State Marco Rubio Tonight, Israel took unilateral action against Iran. We are not involved in strikes against Iran and our top priority is protecting American forces in the region. Israel advised us that they believe this action was necessary for its self-defense. President Trump and the Administration have taken all necessary steps to protect our forces and remain in close contact with our regional partners. Let me be clear: Iran should not target U.S. interests or personnel.”

Rubio’s “unilateral” claim is already falling apart.

Per the left, everything associated with the Trump Administration is falling apart at any given moment.

Put Israel to the side and have a look at international air traffic. The current  air routes are packed.

Iran and Iraq have closed their airspace.

Overflights of Pakistan and parts of India are restricted because of the conflict between the two.

Airspace over Russia is restricted for many airlines

Much of Ukraine airspace is closed

Afghanistan airspace is avoided.

Armenia and Azerbaijan airspace is restricted  due to threat of  conflict.

Israel airspace is restricted

Jordan airspace is restricted.

As soon as Iran launches missiles, Gulf Arab airspace will close.

Cyprus airspace will close

Turkiye airspace will be restricted.

Good luck on flying to  Europe & UK via  many carriers

Guess who is not happy? Russia. Its drone and munitions supplier will be out of business for a while.

The best way to handle Iran is the same way you handle any enemy combatant, annihilation. Obviously political methods have done nothing, as Iran is the facilitator of armed terrorist the world over, that needs to stop, and Israel is the perfect solution to do it for all of us.

Good, it's about time someone has put a stop to the rogue state supplying weapons to terrorists.

Thats surely causes a conundrum for the pro Ukraine anti semite crowd.

Hearsay, and uncorroborated.  USA was advised by Israel that Israel was going to strike. That was the coordination. Some arab countries were aware of the pending attack as well. Israel has its own satellites. The USA  did not facilitate  this  pre-emptive strike.

The President warned Iran and the world that this would happen. Listen to his statement  from his presser at Les Miserables. He said that iran should not have a nuclear weapon. The IAEA report showed that Iran was hiding nuclear materials and lying about it.

The USA could only do so much to try and convince Iran to stop its pursuit of a nuclear arsenal. All the USA did was to get out of the way. Trump stopped Israel previously asking it to give negotiations time. Well, Iran acted in bad faith and this is the result.

I don't think being supportive of the Ukraine  means one is an anti semite. Granted the Ukrainians didn't have a  stellar history in WWII, but  at least they are not slaughtering  them in the streets like they used to do 100 years ago.

I think he is referring to the hard leftists that support Ukraine and are anti-Israel.

If they're as smart as I hope they are, they already have a bunch of moderate Iranians onboard who will take over the reins of power when the zealots are gone.

Back in the late '70s and early '80s I studied and then worked with quite a few Iranians in Oil, and they were smart and very moderate.  I suspect that's true of many Iranians who will be glad when the zealots are gone.  But there's no way they could drive them out without the US or Israel backing them.

This is what I found.  While the bomb can be delivered by a B52 the B2 is the preferred plane.

It is impossible to even conceive that Israel would make a choice like this without the blessing of the US, and it is also impossible to consider the possibility that Trump would be rational enough to say no.

It's these moderate Iranians that have been collaborating with  Israeli intelligence.  I agree, once the regime falls they will step in to take over.  They will have the support of a population that welcomes change.

I completely agree, I think the vast majority of Iranians are very moderate, they despise the government and the Ayatollah, and they would like nothing more than to see them gone. Whether or not that makes Israel's decision to attack a wise one will be borne out over time.

Off course.  This will get Trump off the hook for his failed negotiation.

No one ever expected the negotiations would be successful, but they had to be given a chance.

This might build a little fire under Putin's a** as well....
