A discovery was made off the coast of Koh Larn, when the body of a 65-year-old man was found floating face-down in the sea, approximately 300 metres from the shoreline.

At around 12:30 on 13 June, Pol. Sub-Lt. Kriangkrai Kaewpipop, an investigating officer from Pattaya City Police Station, received a report from a local source about a body seen in the water. Marine rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the scene aboard speedboat 1013 to investigate.

Upon arrival, rescue personnel recovered the nude body of a man showing no signs of injury or assault. He was later identified as Mr. Piyapong Piyakunchayanan, aged 65, who was known to be residing on Koh Larn.

The body was brought ashore and transferred to Pattaya Pathomkhun Hospital, for temporary storage, pending an autopsy at the Institute of Forensic Medicine at the Police General Hospital in Bangkok.

At this stage, the cause of death remains undetermined. Police have not ruled out any possibilities, and questions remain as to how the deceased came to be found unclothed in the open sea. Authorities are continuing their investigation, collecting evidence and interviewing potential witnesses to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
