A troubling case of child abuse has emerged in Kalasin province, where a 34-year-old man named Anon has been arrested for allegedly abusing his 4-year-old stepdaughter, Bee, in front of her mother. The mother, identified as A, was reportedly too frightened of Anon to intervene during the incidents, which took place at a worker's camp where they lived.

The situation came to light when the child's grandmother noticed signs of abuse. Concerned, she took action by reporting the matter to the police on June 15. The distressing details unfolded when Bee temporarily stayed with her grandmother, who observed blood while bathing her. Despite being scared and initially silent, Bee eventually communicated her distress through tears and unusual behaviour, such as licking her grandmother's body. When questioned about who taught her such actions, Bee revealed that her stepfather was the culprit.

Upon learning of these allegations, the grandmother promptly reported the situation to authorities. Investigators acted swiftly, gathering necessary evidence, which resulted in a warrant being issued by the Min Buri Criminal Court on June 4. This led to Anon's apprehension by Police Colonel Kukong Disawat and his team.

While Anon has denied all allegations, the case is now in the hands of Min Buri police, who are proceeding with the legal process. The incident underscores the critical importance of vigilance and prompt reporting in safeguarding vulnerable individuals, especially children, from abuse. Authorities will continue to investigate to ensure justice for Bee and her family.
