Kasikorn Bank App: Facial Recognition required for certain transactions/functions from Jul 2

Featured Replies

I have just spoken to Krungsri on the phone they are only closing Krungsri Online

They are not closing Krungsri Biz so if using Online you have to go to the bank to open Krungsri biz

It seems like the only way to use a Krungsri account

    Mine clearly says the opposite!

  • I doubt it, I just haven't had my face registered whereas you say you have.

  • This has been going on for over a year with most all banks in one form or another. Its to prevent scammers siphoning off all your money

Ok, here are my instructions:

Use one of your fingers,  any one will do. If you have no fingers,  or if you are the age of Bill Gates and use a PC, a mouse will do.

Now move finger or mouse over the link I provided.

Next, click the link.

If I click the link, it will open in the middle of the thread, on page 5,  where people discuss the age limit for the Krungsri app. I don't know what will happen if you click the link, ymmv.

Read it (using your eyes, not your fingers).

Last not least,  use your brain to proces the read information.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the attempt and giving instruction but your comprehension skill set could use a tune up. Those qualifications listed are for APPLYING  to opening a new account. They have nothing to do with an existing accounts nor are they closing that part of the business due to age issues. Try reading the whole section. No where does it mention existing accounts or age for an existing account

Your Welcome

"If you raised your limit and got scammed then..."

I think you have no idea what you talking about. If I set my limit to 0, or even 1k baht, deliberately, to avoid accidental charging by some services where I may've paid in the past.. In order to then to quickly raise it to, let's say, 2-3K baht, to make a quick payment for something, and then revert it, I'd have to undergo facial recognition?  Fискing stupidity.

Apparently that would be less secure compared to as if I'd put my limit to 40k baht initially. No need to raise even further? Then it's secure! The limit of 40k baht is more secure than that of 2k baht.

If you read what's written in the app, you'll notice that there it's just "limit". Apparently, any, whatsoever. Not that of 50k

You haven't specified the limit to begin with.

One may attempt to raise his current limit from 1k to 2k.

The other may not touch his limit of 45k at all.

Both got scammed.

You claim that it's only the 2nd one, with 45k, who's supposed to get support for his loss.  Even though the 1st one is the one who's more careful with his money because his limit is way lower initially and even when he raises it, he'll do it briefly, only for the time of a payment.

Learn to read as your replies are off the points I commented on..  The OP indicates the limit in his post at his bank.  There is no support from banks on even a 500 baht scam so limits don't have any affect on support its just a stop gap procedure to try and show they are offering some type of control for the customer.  Its up to the individual to exercise caution when doing business with anyone

Try and keep up with the conversation. Again I never said there is any support from banks to someone that gets scammed regardless of and limit set by the bank or the person holding the account
