Phnom Pehn
I'm on a extension with re entry permit

Yep. Different situation.

Most doing border  bounce are looking for another 60 visa exempt stamp.

Not so simple for them to fly out and back.

Also would  need onward flight.

You not so.

It might be possible at Chong chom border in surin.

This border crossing, along with all other land crossings into Cambodia from Thailand , IS CLOSED.

Currently, no problems flying into Cambodia (Siem Reap and Phnom Penh) from Bangkok BKK and DMK.

I did a border run from Udon to Nong khai border no probs next day my 2 friends were refused entry at Thai side and were told to re-enter through Bkk main airport they were worried on flying in they would be refused entry because they were refused entry on there passport at Nong - khai immigration.

"I'll bounce myself and save money" people

... would never have gone to NK / Savannakhet for this, unless they were staying in Issan.  Trips to Laos were for Visas - not border-bounces.  Cambodia or Myanmar were closer, therefore "cheaper," and no problem to use those - though both (except Raynong) are unavailable, now.

A better term would be the "Not crammed in a van at 4AM with a barf-bag people," anyway.

And then they come back moaning  " We are losing  tourists " I was told that if you fly out to Cambodia or Viet you cannot return for 2 weeks.

If you only come to Thailand 1 or 2 x per-year, for 60-days or less per-trip, then 2 weeks might be enough to avoid paying for immigration's "safe entry" agent-service.

Anyone who was doing regular border-bounces to Cambodia would need "safe entry" agent-service, or get locked-up, then booted-back, if coming in via-air.

Just use another land-border from Laos, is the solution.  Wait a couple nights in Laos, first.  If in a hurry, then must use immigration's "safe entry" to come back by air.

At this point I think the best solution is to fly to Vietnam and come back with safe entry service.

I used this same safe entry service 3 months ago when I came Thailand from my country. I guess it is okay to use it again?

Yes, I have long story on my passport and last year I was in Thailand all year with ED visa.

With extensive stay and previous ED visa you would require safe entry services.

Recent thread on this a couple refused entry flying from Phu Quoc into BKK after brief trip to Vietnam.

Refused entry.

Returned using agent assistance no problem.

Note the cost due to refused entry + ED visa approx 8k

Did they pay an agency to handle the border run, or did they do it themselves?

Where can I find Safe Entry or Fast Track agent services when I arrive at BKK airport? Do I need to book with an agent before traveling, or can I arrange everything once I land in Bangkok?

You pre arrange it.

Including payment.

You are greeted airside prior to passport control.

The agent needs copies of pp pages to determine cost.

Things such as refused entry, ED visa etc can trigger higher cost.

A friend of mine did the Myanmar border run from Hua Hin. Its a pain in the ass too, but not as bad as going to Laos. It takes around 12 hours to complete, but at least it can be done in a day. Maybe a good option if living close by, or if going for a short stay in Hua Hin. There are companies at soi 94 that advertise the runs.

I also found one company on Facebook that does the runs for 5 300 baht: https://www.facebook.com/groups/221530661758247/user/100083392478106/

To go all the way to Savannakhet in those vans with random strangers, and try to sleep in them during the night... nah man, nah. Im good.

did it themselves like they have done the same run over and over again like me. Sometimes its how you present yourself to the point of entry if your polite and curtesy and a friendly good morning in Thai goes a long way. At the end of the day its up to the officer that day that allows you in or not.

Very true that you have to show a smile and be polite. Yeah if they did pay agency, no issue, now its harder ever before.

How many visa exempt entry border runs have you done ?

Immigration these days just allow 2 /3 consecutive land border runs before they refuse entry on the next one

Huh? just go to soi 94 in hua hin and theres a visa agent right there on the beginning of the soi, to the left side. Just book a spot and then go to the pickup point at the time they tell you to be there. After that you get in the van, ride to the border and get stamped in/out. Then back to Hua Hin. The process is done in around 12 hours. Alternatively you contact them through LINE or whatsapp or phone, i linked one company here in the thread before:
