Avoided denial of entry

I landed at BKK. They didn't check my QR code. They didn't like that i had done a border run my last vist. Was told that aurport immigration had different rules then other offices. I have been gone three months. Flagged me, had me talk to a supervisor. I explained everything, he said he could help me, showed me his phone and personal account number, asked for between 4 and 5000 bhat. I made my donation. And I got my entry stamp.  Just another day 🤣

I am glad they are making it easier to pay their extortion, for those who didn't know about having to pay them off via agent in-advance.

I find your story of alleged extortion with the money being paid via electronic transfer into the immigration official's personal bank account impossible to believe.

 

Unless you post a copy of your bank's debit advice within 24 hours (obscure your personal details), this topic will have to be deleted.

The only thing that doesn't add up is how do you as a tourist have a Thai bank account. Also, what does "between 4 and 5000 baht" mean? Who asks for a "donation" in this way? It doesn't make any sense.

hard to believe  specially if you pay by transfer money  than cash
