Business As Usual?
Got to love the Thais. The ink barely wet on all these weighty documents and already they're on it. I think it'll balance out OK. The med cert 'fee' brings more money into the economy. To have it less in your face for those just going about their business with the smell and fumes in public is surely better than it is now? After all it's not Thais you see anywhere blowing their smoke with no consideration for non smokers, children etc either is it? Western tourists blew it basically. -

The officials at the local immigration offices should be allowed to access to this database, instead of having to ask applicants for a extension of stay to bring a printed copy. -

US Pushes Forward with Private Aid Plan for Gaza Amid UN Opposition
Reuters) -The Israeli military acknowledged on Monday that Palestinian civilians were harmed at aid distribution centres in the Gaza Strip, saying that new instructions had been issued to Israeli forces following "lessons learned". Since Israel lifted an 11-week aid blockade on Gaza on May 19, allowing limited U.N. deliveries to resume, the United Nations says more than 400 Palestinians have been killed while seeking handouts of aid. "Following incidents in which harm to civilians who arrived at distribution facilities was reported, thorough examinations were conducted in the Southern Command and instructions were issued to forces in the field following lessons learned," the Israeli military said in a statement.
