The uniformity crowd suffer severe mental effects by those who don’t conform.

I find the older ones are the worst, with their predictable chat, how long you been here, know everything, done everything, alcoholics, best avoided

  • Like the plague.

No, not really. We all have read the posts of many here on AN with severe mental antisocial rhetoric opposing those who have chosen to voice their personal opinions and observations from personal experiences and preferences. Though ultimately you’re free to think and live as you please just as the rest of us.

I quite like the slutty bar girl look!

Anyway, What's wrong with my Liverpool football shorts?

With a Chang beer singlet and tasteful tattoos?

We think you're entitled to think what you like.

But others want you to only think what they like.

And if you don't it'll be thumbs down for your posts!

On the slutty bar girl or me?

Multiple troll posts removed.

@Harrisfan final reminder of the rules.

10. You will not post troll messages. Trolling is the act of purposefully antagonising  forum members by posting controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages with the primary intent of provoking other members into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.

11. You will not troll or stalk other members by misusing forum posts, private messages, reactions, emojis or by any other means.

I stopped engaging seriously with them early on. I still respond and act friendly, I just keep things really light (or try to).

Once you get used to it, it's actually kind of fun to just talk about dumb stuff. It does take some practice however to avoid any kind of controversial subjects, etc.

For example, the other day a guy asked me where I was from. I responded with the USA. He brings up Trump and I immediately say I don't like him, opening up a space for negativity and argument. It also caused a bad reaction in the guy from his facial expression.

What I should have done is kept things light and responded with a completely different subject like going in on a pitcher of beer, playing quarters, etc. Think back on your 20's rather then your 50's and you will have a much better time with people you meet on the road.
