This is, and was, laziness and inability to do the job intended. A simple siren, like other towns along the river, could have saved everyone.

I'm sure glad that Trump is beefing up the disaster preparedness and the meteorological facilities within the US, that must come as a great relief to Republican voters. 

 

 

Did not the Bible refer to 40 days and 40 nights of rain, in order to free the world of noxious humans?  Maybe Texas and other Red states ...

Texas is a great state. The problem lies in certain individuals, just like it does everywhere. Put the wrong people in charge and history has proven the results.
