In a global survey conducted by HotelWithTub, Bangkok has emerged as the top destination for digital nomads in 2025, edging out over 1,300 other cities. Praised for its cost-effective living, reliable internet, and vibrant lifestyle, Thailand’s capital scored an impressive 91 out of 100 in key categories, affirming its status as an ideal hub for remote workers.

Deputy government spokesperson Sasikarn Wattanachan announced Bangkok’s accolade, attributing its success to a unique blend of affordability and modern amenities. “Bangkok offers reliable infrastructure and a lifestyle perfectly suited for mobile workers,” she remarked, crediting the Thai people for the country’s progressive strides.

Survey responses highlighted Bangkok’s appeal, with satisfaction ratings soaring to 4.55 out of 5. Whether working from an upscale condo, a bustling downtown café, or a rooftop with panoramic views, the city caters exceptionally well to digital professionals.

Interestingly, Bangkok isn’t the only Thai location grabbing attention. Nakhon Ratchasima, or Korat, claimed the fifth spot globally, while Koh Pha Ngan and Chiang Mai ranked 13th and 26th, respectively. These rankings demonstrate that Thailand offers diverse options beyond the bustling metropolis.

Emphasising ongoing development, the Thai government has pledged to enhance digital infrastructure and appeal. The aim is to establish Thailand as a leading global hub for talent, technology, and tropical living – a mission underscored by the nation’s repeated recognition on the world stage.

This latest accolade further solidifies Thailand’s place as a premier destination for digital nomads, combining its rich culture and convenient lifestyle with a strategic focus on future growth. Whether you're coding under the Bangkok skyline or seeking tranquillity in Koh Pha Ngan, Thailand promises a dynamic work-life experience.
