After several days of monsoon rain, I was surprised to see how deep the Nam Khan river is as it flows close to the old railway bridge.

IME the rainy season in Chiang Rai starts early July.

 

This year, it started in late April, and has not stopped raining since.

Same down here @ PKK, and started pre Songkran, and very nice indeed.   Wish every year was like this.   Rarely does it start before Songkran and be steady on 👍

Apparently the train service (Yunnan - Vientiane) isn't running because of flooding in the tunnels.  today is sunny and dry 🙂
