In a surprising twist of legal procedure, On June 24, 2025, the Bangkok Criminal Court convicted Sansiri Public Company Limited, Company Chairman Mr. Apichat Jutrakul, and Director Mr. Wanchak Buranasiri for filing false charges against a client.
 

The client, part of a group of condominium buyers who previously won a civil lawsuit against Sansiri for damages, was targeted with multiple criminal and civil cases by Sansiri, all of which were dismissed. The client countersued for being wrongly accused, leading to the conviction.

 

Company Chairman Mr. Apichart Jutrakul and Director Mr. Wanchak Buranasiri were each sentenced to three years in prison. Sansiri Public Company Limited was fined 80,000 Baht, with non-payment to be handled under Section 29 of the Thai Criminal Code.
