For those of you who fly drones "off the books" in Thailand, be aware there is a general flying ban at the moment due to the Cambodia issues.

This is already a little while, as I have been traveling just found out now.

 

Those who fly "legally" will have received a Thai language mail on the e-mail adres used when registering with the UASportal from the CAAT.

Myself I also seperatly have received a warning from my drone insurance (FEIC).

 

So flying around now is going to stick out a bit, and fines can be steep, including risck of jailtime!

Our records show that you have an active drone policy or made an enquiry for drone insurance in Thailand.

We are notifying you that the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) has temporarily prohibited the operation of drones across the entire country. This restriction is effective from 30 July 2025 until 15 August 2025, or until further notice.

Violators are subject to penalties of up to 1 year imprisonment, a fine of up to 40,000 baht, or both. Authorities are also empowered to immediately destroy any drones found in violation.

⚠️ ผู้ฝ่าฝืนมีโทษ จำคุกไม่เกิน 1 ปี หรือปรับไม่เกิน 40,000 บาท หรือทั้งจำทั้งปรับ

รวมถึงเจ้าหน้าที่มีอำนาจทำลายโดรนที่ฝ่าฝืนได้ทันที
