I find it hard to blame Gazans for electing Hamas back then. The Palestinian Authority was then (and still is) a useless, toothless organization. In reality, it's Israel's 'Uncle Tom' - that just complains about the illegal settlements built by American and South African Jews, wrings its hands a bit, and then that's it. It’s absolutely true that innocent civilians are being targeted, multiple reports have confirmed this, including those from a British Surgeon in Gaza.

Anything is possible, after all the IDF are not as great a force as you and they think they are, no skill, morals, got some reasonable equipment, except for the diapers but from what I've seen tactically clueless against basically a volunteer para-military force, with no air/naval support. Nearly 2 years since this phase of the conflict started and still no nearer the end.

As demonstrated earlier in this thread, most Palestinians did not vote for Hamas in 2006 on account of not being alive or old enough to vote at the time.

 

Since its been 30 years since the last election it’s a bit of a stretch to claim even those who voted for Hamas back then would do now.

Targeting ‘Hamas’ with missiles in a market place, a cafe or at a water distribution station were dozens of innocent civilians are present.

 

The Israelis choose to use these weapons under those circumstances in the full knowledge that the blast radius of these weapons inevitably kills innocent civilians.
