DId you try to log in more than once? And on the second try, you have to reset your password a second time?

Did you use the "Forgot Password" link to reset your password?

No. "The change your password" appear as soon as you go to the logon screen - every single time.

Yes.  More shoddy programming.  The instruction is to reset one's password, but the only way to do that (as far as I could see) was to claim one had forgotten one's password.

Presumably you need to input you old password before updating it?

I just checked and got right in with my old password that is saved. Not really any good as I was out of the country in May and have made an appointment to do it in person Aug 25.

Can anyone share the new Password format? Presumably, it now includes some requirement for uppercase, lowercase, numbers, symbols, etc?

And maybe, if your existing password meets this new format requirement you can continue to use it? If not you've got to reset it.

That appears to be the case.  You'll get the pop-up but close it down and log on as normal.

Not every time.  Once you've changed it to comply with the latest requirements you can close the box and log on as normal.

Is it not most usual for an hotel, or possibly hospital , to report the TM30. ? IE A FOREIGNER IS LIVING HERE!

I did it myself 8 years ago, as if I was my wife, (hey, no naughty thoughts..............isn't that stupid spelling ''norty thorts..................and it has been fine ever since, even after many trips abroad or to hotels in Thailand, and a lost/replaced passport.

Does it send the new password to the email address on file? I do it myself, but the user name is my landlord's email address.. so if it goes to the landlord that's a pain.

Most Passwords now must contain those characters, and you usually cannot use an older one.

All these Password Managers offered by so many companies now, are absolute rubbish.

A simple 4 digit number, a 'special' character, then some way you can remember the company's name.

FOR EXAMPLE.  Bankgkok Bank could be 6789@BngkkBnk, or say Nationwide 6789@Ntnwd, get it. ? No Manager , or REMEMBERING needed.

Yes, resetting the password involves an email being sent to the registered address.

Thanks. As you said to another poster, if my existing password already meets the above requirements, I should be able to just close the pop-up and login as normal, is that right? Or does something still need to be validated via the (owner's) email address?

I had to change mine so I can't guarantee it, but subsequent logins when I just close the box down indicate to me you'll be able to go right in with nothing being sent.

Incidentally, there is a one time password system in operation for booking appointments now. I'm not sure this was always the case.

If not always been the case it's certainly been required for a Long time.

It's a 6 digit number. Sent to the email you type in.

I was only asked to update the pwd once, not every time as you say.

Seems OP issue has been resolved.

Hopefully I can obtain advice relating to TM30 here.

So Thai partner has just received messages from farang tenant.

The tenant has non Thai gf visit and asking for TM30.

My partner would normally pass this onto her agent however currently not possible.

My partner maintains that she needs a desktop to do it online.

What's the simple/best option.

Don't want to go to CW.

No, it hasn't.  Every time I go to the web page there's still the popup telling me to change my password.

Just close it and login as normal.

I used a laptop.

Go here:

https://tm30.immigration.go.th/tm30/#/login

And look at the User Guide.  It does seem better and more in depth than others I've come across.  There are three stages, register, add an address and notify those staying at that address.

I obtained signed copies of the owners ID Card and housebook and registered as the owner but using my email address.  I can't remember 100% but it looks like the ID is requested at registration.  When I did it ID and housebook weren't added until adding an address.

You then have to verify your email and wait for another email confirming your application and giving your login details.  Change your password.

Login and add an address - go to Profile and look for the "Add" buttons for address and documents.  It may have improved but it wasn't very intuitive when I did it and again I can't remember exactly if there was a delay in adding an address and it becoming approved.  User Guide is quite good here I think.

Notification.  Again there is an unlikely "Add" button but once you access it everything should be clear.

Search and downloading of information is only available for a week after submission so anytime I submit I download it straight away.

You/she will probably find yourself going down some rabbit holes but backing up and trying something different shoud get you there in the end.

Thank you for very detailed reply.

We don't have a laptop.

Personally I do everything on Android.

Might end up waiting till agent (real estate) is back from holiday.

Currently we have two separate farang tenants.

I mentioned to partner.....lets just stick with Thai tenants.

Is a Smart TV and web browser a possibility?
